I was able to push SpareParts.apk to /system/app/ and fixed permissions to 0644 rw-r--r-- and reboot then profit.

Spare Parts allows you to tweak how fast your window transitions and animations, overall I see a huge UI speed increase.

I just turned animations/transitions off completely. I used this:

That's the same app just made for the market by a third party. The app I linked is the real deal straight from the CM source code.
