I bought a new LG G Pro F240L and it had so many Korean bloatware and restrictions. So i wanted root it install cwm recovery and flash a nice clean ROM. There were so many ways to root and flash cwm on kitkat 4.4.2 but most didn't work. But I found this thread at Lgviet where they have described the procedure step by step and it is pretty straight forward. :)

and below is the link for sphinx GPro V1.5 ROM, This is based on a stock ROM (F240K KitKat 4.4.2 V20E ROM) therefor all the cool stock features are still intact. Follow the guide exactly as it is to avoid soft bricks. :fingers-crossed:

01) you need to be on the background of F240L V20D, and V20E of F240K F240S
(LG Software Version) ( Settings->general->about phone->software information->Software version)

02) DO NOT do a factory reset , nor in CWM recovery (no need to wipe anything).

03) Flash the Sphinx G Pro ROM then Flash the Patch IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT REBOOTING.

04) Wipe data/factory reset ->wipe cache partition ->wipe dalvik cache.

05) reboot system.

Thank you lots for the link on the Root, Rom for KitKat. I own the F240K Optimus G Pro and came from F240K20h stock rom.
Rest assured you don't need a V20E to update the Sphinx Gpro 1.5. Just follow the instruction on the 1st post it's good to go. :good:
