No notifcations in gear

In gear manager I select on left side 'Notifications' then on the right side they are all ticked like email and messaging etc...

But I get none, no sms and no gmail and no stock email from email app, no facebook, no twitter, nothing!!!

Can someone help please

Also..........I seen a video review showing how when watch is in the vacinity of the phone it doesnt need unlocking using a pattern.........,,, just tried it on mine and failed

I am still on 4.2 stock could that be what is causing no notifications.....

or could it be Apex Launcher.....will try that one,....

So far all I can use the watch is to make and receive calls, nothing else

You need 4.3 or higher

For full features, you need a touchwiz rom. If you use custom, you get most (limited) features
