Just 4 info:

Don't try to flash any custom kernel while using the upcoming nightly.
You'll loose wifi, fmradio and cifs if you do.

Kernel cookers like GM (syjah) have to update their updater-scripts to replace the kernel modules at /system/lib/modules because they've been moved out of the ramdisk due to the inline kernel building changes we've made.

Is the new nightly the same as your test build?

How can it be that internal storage is still the main storage, if the names of the mount-points get switched ?
Meaning the apps saved they data to mountpoint "sdcard" (previously mapped to internal sd). When mountpoint "sdcard" is now mapped to external sd, the apps are looking for their data on external sd !?
Do I misunderstand something and do the apps still write their data to internal sd, no matter if mountpoints are switched ?

You just have to check apps individually, some apps would not have an issue with the change and some will, apps that are hardcoded to dump stuff to the "sdcard" would now dump to your removable storage instead of the internal storage e.g HC kTool

You may have to re-configure apps like PowerAmp that would be looking for your music Library in the wrong place, also an app like Titanium Backup MAY have to be re-configured

Most other apps would not have an issue with the change

Hello all,

Do we know if CM9 supports the EAP-SIM protocol ? It's not on AOSP, that's for sure, and device makers have a choice wether to implement it or not on their device, but I couldn't find any settings in the current nightly.

Basically, the EAP-SIM protocole allows your phone to automatically connect to a wifi hotspot instead of 3G if such is available. My operator has a uge network of wifi hotspot maintained by their landline adsl clients (which in turn benefit from any other guy's hotspot when they're out of home), and it seems this operator now wants to use this network to decrease the load on its new and not yet robust 3G network.
I'll ask the same question :)

At present, it appears that it doesn't work...
But I don't have a free SIM card.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
    - READ FAQs: http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/Experimental:GT-I9100:Frequently_Asked_Questions

    - Choose cm-9-XXXXXXXX-ODIN-galaxys2.tar.md5 as PDA
    - Boot your phone into download mode
    - Connect your device via usb to your computer
    - Wait till Odin has fully recognized your phone
    - Hit the start button and wait till the flash process is finished

It's done when it's done. Don't expect a release withing the next days. If it takes weeks, then it takes weeks.

I'll focus on I9100 development because it's the device with the most users.
It will take us a lot of time to integrate all patches/hacks needed for samsung devices.

Don't bug us or ask for etas, just be patient and let us work.
That's the best what you can do.
