I think it would be easier to just root and then download the pro version of titanium and freeze the Amazon special offers app. You can find the titanium backup app on 4shared.

Or you could just use the Kindle Fire XSettings(root needed)which is attached.

This works great. It removed the ads. However, the lock screen wallpapers never rotate. I am stuck with the manilla paper book looking wallpaper, which is hideous. Every once in a while on a reboot it will cycle, but as soon as it goes to sleep and comes back, it's back to the manilla book.

Is there any way to set my own wallpaper, or to fix it so that it rotates the lockscreen wallpaper correctly?

I have the same problem, always got the same wallpaper, it's getting kinda boring :3
I haven't found a solution for this yet since I'm not sure what is causing it :/

Greetings!

Greetings!

I have found somewhat of a solution. Using KFHD sEttings to disable the stock Amazon lock screen. Then I downloaded Go locker and am using that as my lock screen. Customized go locker a bit and now have a nice unlock screen with the same background as my home screen, where I use ADS launcher.

Does the xsettings fix the manilla papers wallpaper issue?

Just an update, this worked with no side effects for me w/ a new HDX 7. OS 4.5.2, rooted. Ads are now gone & my lockscreen still rotates & I get different nifty images each time. No plain manilla thingie.

Titanium Backup PRO

Find where the lock screen ads are situated and and freeze, very easy method!
