I've just put CM10.1 on my nexus 7, first time i've looked at CM and i am now so keen to see it come for my Razr I. Its really a fantastic piece of work. I will be sure to dig into my pocket when its done, I appreciate the work from all involved. As i'm a programmer i have no idea how much work is needed or if its even going to be possible but THUMBS UP!

Yeah, it seems like the guys trying to port CM10 are also have trouble with the ramdisk.

Sigh...it seems like any phone I buy is cursed.

Is there anything you would need from Motorola/Intel that would help?
Unfortunately I'm not a dev myself but I want to do the best I can to help you guys start making custom Roms!

Besides that, any news on the project yet?

unfortunately, no... even with the newer jb source, the kernel/bootloader still moans about the ramdisc mounting... it is annoying... I believe all devs in moto razr i section would be having this error, otherwise custom roms would be out... :(

yeah... tried thousands of things.. but nothing works... i don't know why... even building it from source does not work :D i get compile errors or it does not boot^^

CM building, kernel building and booting works.

We got past the ramdisk for cm, but we cant get it fully booting yet and maybe without many houres from a real dev cant get the arm code translated to x86 or replaced.

The kernel boots fine, but needs some adjusments to get all modules working

Any progress? It's been a while so I think, especially with a more or less donated device, there should be at least something...

We have the devices, but it still seems impossible to get cm (or any custom rom) on the RAZR I, unfortunately... I don't think the device will ever get custom built Roms :(

in my opinion, yes... even XDA has closed the "Original" development forum, as there hasnt really been any progress on it...

No, XDA closed 'original' development forum, because we want it. We've voted and so it has been closed.

that, and there is no "Original" development out yet... It could happen, but just my opinion, I dont think it will get built... We have put many hours into it, and have achieved nothing :(

I'm not a developer, but if I understand you right, the problem is to build the ROM, or? Not the kernel.
And I think there could be more Intel powered phones in the future, is possible to port custom ROMs from this phones to our device?

No, the rom has been built... I still have it in my dropbox... however, it doesnt boot... it boots straight to bootloader saying the ramdisk is too big... So it kinda is kernel issues...

I'm an official member from the LiquidSmooth Team and I am looking to work on the Razr I along with hiemanshu. One problem is that we need to get a device to Hiemanshu. He is working on creating a device tree from scratch and has done about as much as he can with just the files he found online.

We're turning to the community for help to acquire a device to be able to dev with. Our goal would to raise enough money to purchase a Razr I to develop on. It will be much easier to have 2 or more devs working on porting the device completely. I'd like to have a goal of a device within the next month or so. This "seems" feasible, although time will tell.

If you'd like to help, please donate accordingly. Click on the Donate to me button here on XDA - I will forward on the monies to Hiemanshu. You can donate straight to Hiemanshu though. See third post.

Beyond that, look forward to helping the community get this device supported. Look forward to the help from you guys!

I see you guys are using my device tree. My device tree is a good starting point. Spent a lot of time writing it from scratch. I would love to continue working with you guys on this and try and get it to work. Feel free to add me on gtalk. hiemanshu at Gmail.
