I've been searching this thread for a day now, can't find an answer to this. I flashed twice, but I can't get the Personalize to work. Yes, I know about the Rosie Remap, but even Menu -> Settings -> Personalize does nothing. So I can't change the lockscreen settings or whatever else is under there. Does the Rosie Remap completely disable the Personalize menu? :confused:

No it dont your menu*settings*personalize should work fine

Did you do any other Mods?

I did the following (from CWM 5):

Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Reboot recovery
Install SS9.1
Install Dodgekernel 1.6 w/ a2sd ext3

Also having a problem where RootExplorer can't mount directories R/W (button does nothing). But If I go into MikTweaks and mount /system R/W, then go into RootExplorer, I can edit in that directory.

Try to do a reflash, go into recovery click on mounts and storage then format system/format sd-ext if It's present/format cache/ format data then go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache flash SS 9.1 again and let me know, or you could try to download again and then follow them wipe instructions and report back, this is the first I have ever heard this

md5sum was the same for two downloads (ae51529b980bf671b4440f5acbf52f2f Supreme_Sense_v9.1_a2sd.zip for anyone searching - it isn't posted anywhere that I saw) so I assumed the md5 was good, clearing it all out and reflashing from scrach fixed it until I restored my apps from Titanium Backup.

It turns out that the personalize menu is linked to the Sense launcher and I had set ADW as my default launcher.

So if anyone runs into this again, all you need to do is go to Manage Apps, and clear the default from your chosen launcher, then when you go to Settings -> Personalize, it will prompt you whether to use Sense or your other launcher. Choose Sense, make your changes, then hit home and re-set your other launcher as default.

This allowed me to customize my lockscreen apps (gmail instead of mail, handcent instead of messaging, etc.), and continue to use ADW as my launcher after.

Any thoughts on why Root Explorer can't mount /system as R/W unless I first mount it R/W in MikTweaks? Is that by design?

Did you check out the Guide that's linked in my Sig? Restoring Apps and Data, with TB has been know to cause issues. That's why it's good to be selective when restoring Data. Also batch restoring is never a good idea. As for using ADW Launcher with a 3D Carousel, I wouldn't. But that's just me :rolleyes: . Why don't you just use the Lockscreen Shortcuts already built in when using the 3.0 Lockscreen?

ok had a hell of a time with a2sd using the touch cwm recovery, could not get it to work right. wipes/formatted/installed a2sd version over and over and could not get my apps to move to sd, could not get sd-ext to mount (1024mb, ext4), resized and re-partitioned sd a few times with and without swap.

finally after thinking about what i'm doing wrong for a day, i decided to flash non-touch cwm again, wiped, flashed, and poof, apps on sd-ext.

anyone able to get a2sd version working with touch cwm? anyone with similar issues?

edit: also to add i was able to see sd-ext via quick system info, but titanium would not show it.

I had the similar issue with flashing a Rom with A2SD on the new CWM Touch at first. I did almost the same thing. Except once I had the Rom up and running. I used Rom Manager to update back to CWM Touch. Have not had an issue since.

I use cwmr touch, 9.1 a2sd, dodge 1.6 ext4 (adapted to format sd-ext to ext4) absolutely no issues.. running smooth as melted butter. backups, restores, cleaning caches, everything is working for me.

CWM Touch is now working perfectly for me. At first I did have one issue with it. But it only happened once when flashing. It wouldn't recognize my partition. But after that, multiple flashes. Not one issue :) .

Too bad you guys don't have a fully functional TWRP 2.0, CWM Touch, is just eh..not really optimized for touch interface, but I guess it's better than using volume buttons

Yea I was all excited about TWRP v2.0 Touch. But when I tried it, I had some major issues come up. So that kind of soured it for me :( . But on the upside CWM Touch is treating me good :) .

yeah I had install issues immediately with even TWRP 1.0 .. most people seemed OK with all 1.x. I'm sure in that particular case its my phone doesn't handle..like difference in oc tolerance. I say that because a good number of folks have been perfectly happy with 2.0

Yea, I couldn't get TWRP 2.0 to work for the life of me on the Shift, so that was a bummer, but like you said some people use it just fine :eek:. Then when I started using the OG EVO I was happy to flash TWRP 2.0...and in their OP it says in red "Do not flash, has been known to cause device bricks" :( lol.

With the 3D, though you kindof need TWRP 2.0, because of HTC's damn unlock tool

Quick question guys, I've been running SS9 for a while now, and randomly yesterday my lock screen stopped working. I had to slide out the keyboard to get the phone to unlock itself. I went to customize the lock screen and the weather style was gone, which was what I had been using. I changed it to the standard unlock screen and it works again. Anyone know why the weather screen randomly disappeared from my phone?

    alright so i just want to take this time and give a very BIG thank you to prboy1969 for more things than one, im running on a laptop that was delivered in the mail today from him to get me up and running to continue SS, also for his dedication to the ROM and finding mods and themes and everything in between for SS.

    I started the project one evening just for S&G'S and once things started to work me and him spent many hours on gtalk trying to figure this and that out to get the kins worked out, and most of the talk was him pushing me to release it, i wasnt so sure about it and figured i would just drop the project and be an end user, but as time went on and i seen what he did i finally got the courage to release and it has really grown since then.

    So this is my HUGE thanks man, honestly i might have thrown SS together but without the pressure from you we would still be wanting what we didnt have, so thanks for being such a huge help and im glad to have you on Team Supreme!
