How are you finding it?

Doubt it will cure everything... It's only a very minor update...

I think it has to do with the supposed battery drain issue

I don't think so. It is rolling out for Xperia Z Austria 3AT. May be a carrier specific version.

.233 is online but only for Austria AT.

ok, whats new in .233 4.4 firmware
- settings works without lags
- i dont see flickering keyboard!!! ^^
- towelroot ist working
- is working faster?, or its just wow effect

im uploading ftf file

You can just flash w/o wiping data then use the root toolkit that works on .402

you can try this it work on all xperia device mine is sgp312 on 4.3 and it work for 4.4 also
