Picked up the Tab 8.4 Pro. Apparently it comes with $25 in free apps? How do I redeem this?

Open Samsung App, login or create account. It will register and send you an email to get these.

I looked at that and decided even $25 in Google Play credit wasn't enough to get me to create a Samsung Apps account. :sly:

You'd rather not have $25 than what? Give Samsung your name and email? Just give a different name and email then! They give you a code to use for Google Play.

Looks like you can only use Samsung app store not google play store?

You log into your Samsung apps account and then you receive an email with a code to redeem $25 in Google Play Store credit.

Open Samsung App store and sign in, if you did that already and still no email, do this:

Go to settings > Accounts > Touch Samsung account > Touch the email address > Touch remove account.* Reboot the tablet.* Open Samsung apps and sign back in.

In case someone is not aware of this, the offer is only available in the Continental US.
I solved this by doing a factory reset, and re-registered the tablet using a cellphone tethered connection
(The IP address of my cell phone carrier is from continental US). Worked perfectly.
