Hey thanks for the compliment. I want to respond to a couple of concerns you have, first the screen sensitivity issue you have. It's unlikely that your digitizer is damaged, it either works or doesn't work. Recent glass coming out of China is counterfeit low quality glass. It is certainly possible that you got a piece of this type of glass where it's not as smooth to the touch and it also affects sensitivity levels creating dead spots.
Second if you have an issue with the dust infiltrating into the viewing area it's possible the seal at the bottom is not complete. This really is the only area that dust can get in. There is a piece of protective plastic covering on top of the ribbon cable that attaches to the LCD so this can make your seal faulty. So what you need to do is make sure you build it up high enough so that it creates an even seal against the inside of the glass. Recently I started putting another layer below the bottom of the rectangle, so it becomes 4 millimeters wide instead of just the 2 millimeter strip. Hope this helps.
