N.O.V.A. 2 - Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance HD version for SGSII is working with some minor issue. Looks like multitouch is not working properly (who usded to play on Xperia X10i multitouch games - very similar issue)

Can you please tell me how you got backstab working? I tried it with the power VR plugin and it just exits after the video cinematic.. What version are you using?

I've finally installed Chainfire 3D and all the plugins, Nvidia, Qualcomm & PowerVR, and installed X-Plane.
But when I boot it, all I get is "Texture Error - Error detecting texture compression formats!"
Am I missing something?

I did the same thing. Enable the nvidia plugin and the game wouldnt even start
I believe there was a fix for that shortly after CF3D came out, probably needs a shader file like Riptide. Check the CF3D app thread.

shadogun works fine, no chainfire or any of that stuff(dont even know what chainfire is) , anyway, this is a torrent that i got. and the game looks amazing on the note, twice the entertainment that my S2 provided .

Has anyone tried Blood and Glory?
I've been having a ball with this game.. its quite addictive. ( a big time consumer though) once you start climbing the ladder, if you don't want to buy in app "money" it can take hours to beat some of the bigger sneakier guys with your paltry armour and weapons

Unfortunately, no Note yet. Placed my order with Expansys-usa and haven't heard from them since. Giving them till the end of the day and then I'm cancelling and going to handtec.

NB: Some games developed for different chipsets (e.g. NVIDIA Tegra) can be run on the Note with the help of the Chainfire3D intermediary OpenGL driver (XDA thread). You will need the correct Chainfire3D plugin in order to run the game; if you don't have the plugin already you will need to download a plugin and then install it.

Gameloft games
All of the Gameloft games I've tried so far from the Android Market give the message "Your device is not supported" when you attempt to run them on the Note.
I'd recommend not purchasing any Gameloft games directly from the Android Market at the moment. Instead visit the Gameloft site and purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note version of the game (NB: AFAIK the Note is not currently supported for any games on the Gameloft site as of 13/11/2011).
Transferring Gameloft games from another Android device to your Note
Thanks to famiglia who wrote the original guide upon which this guide is based.
If you already have a Gameloft game installed on another Android device (or you have another Android device on which you can download and install the game) then you can transfer it to your Note with the following method and see if it works.
Prerequisites:- Your Note must be rooted
- Titanium Backup is required for backing-up & restoring the applications
Steps:- Make sure any extra required data for the game to launch has been download on your other Android device.
- Using Titanium Backup, make a backup of the game.
- Copy the game's resources folder (located in /gameloft/games/ and named either "GLOFTXXXX" or the name of the game) and the Titanium Backup of the game to your PC/Mac.
- Transfer the game's Titanium Backup to your Note.
- Transfer the resources folder to /gameloft/games/ on your Note.
- Run the Titanium Restore for the game on your Note.
Submit a game
When submitting a game please include the following the information to help make the list of games more helpful and easier to use (and save me the work!):
Please only suggest games which you have tested and confirmed working on the Samsung Galaxy Note. Do not submit untested games.
- The name of the game
- A link to the game download/purchase page (required only if the game did not come from the Android Market)
- Whether the game has HD or SD graphics:
HD if the game runs fullscreen and the majority of graphics, textures, text and outlines appear sharp and crisp
SD if the game does not fill the whole screen or if the majority of the textures/graphics/text appear stretched, blurry, "blown up" or pixellated (unless this behaviour is specifically intended) - Any common major and minor issues encountered when running the game on the Note (graphics glitches or artefacts, gameplay issues or bugs, licensing issues, crashes etc)

Use DIrectoryBind to map folders on the USB Storage to the external sd card. I done it now and got many large game data files installed on the external_sd of my Note including Gameloft games.

i have some games which are only hd .. will they work on the galaxy note (i think buying one)

THD isnt tablet HD. its Tegra HD, meaning you'll need a Tegra chipset to play, or chainfire 3d with the tegra drivers.
just found the Eternal Legacy HD v1.0.0 APK for the SGS2. installed and downloading the game data now. will report back with results soon (hopefully).

okay, just tested Eternal Legacy HD. it works.
you need to use the v1.0.0 APK for the samsung galaxy S2. although im sure i shouldnt mention this, but if you're looking for the file online, avoid the one by Tag3r, when i was trying to install that apk, it listed what the app gains access to, and that apk tries to gain access to a lot of stuff that it shouldnt need access to. the Twingo version has no noteworthy security issues, so im running this version.
game runs fairly well from what ive seen (only just started it). there are some framerate drops, but thats to be expected given our high resolutions. for the most part though, its playable. graphically its quite good, almost as good as shadowgun.
edit again - Destroy Gunners SP works. runs smoother compared to my atrix, also looks better. uses full screen and doesnt look pixelated so i'll just assume its HD.
osu!droid works flawlessly. HD works (high res bg enabled in the settings). i just wished they would add the extra features from the PC version, like multiplayer and full animated videos for the background.
GT Racing Motor Academy HD (from gameloft store) doesnt work, says unsupported. GT Free+ from the android market doesnt work either.2Ok. This is a bit long, but here is a video demo of several high end games running on Galaxy Note CM9 Alpha. These all run great and any video chunking is the screen cast software and not the game experience. Enjoy!
