About the GPe version:
Only for C6806_GPe from Google, do not flash on a normal Z-Ultra
This is untested by me as I don't have access to a GPe Z-Ultra. Use at your own risk

The GPe version has been flashed and booted. Thanks to @CCJ22 for testing this out.

The GPe version of Carbon is built with CM11 device tree so will have any CM11 Togari and Togari_GPe bugs tat come from the device tree

[ROM][4.4.2][Unofficial] Carbon KitKat - Togari GPe [2014-03-11]

@CCJ22, I think I have found the problem with the GPe build. I had missed a line in the config of the build so had pulled in some togari stuff instead of GPe. Should be sorted now. Building a new version now, will upload in the morning

Awesome sounds good. But I'm just now getting around to test. The MMS and calls not working was CM11.

OP, I'm here to report this has (so far) ran flawless on my GPE. I've had it on for about 15 minutes and loving it. Much more so then CM11.

Calls and MMS both work fine on GPE. Video I made coming up shortly. (Although not very well made video)

Question, is carbon rom based off CM11?
Also, can us GPE guys get our own thread by chance in the GPE section of forum? That way we can keep comments seperate? I don't mean to fuss, and not a big deal if it's too much trouble.

---------- Post added at 11:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:43 PM ----------

**UPDATE** trimming a video with built in gallery trimmer force closes. Not that I ever really use it but FYI

I can split this thread into two... (edit: done:- http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2680026)
Good to know that it is running smooth ;)
Carbon is based on ASOP (and other bit and bobs) and I have pulled the device tree in from CM11, as has Liquid and slim will aswell (if I get it to build fully)

Found another problem, music youtube, etc... Make no sound.

I find it interesting that your rom makes the calls and MMS but CM11 doesn't. Ah well. Great ROM

Here is a video showing proof of the rom working.

Disregard the beginning of the video where I mention working with the rom developer. I should have stated, the OP assisted me in getting this rom working on my device and only wanted to return the favor by making a review.
I DID NOT, do any work on the rom itself. All credit to the OP on this great rom.

All credit goes to the team behind the ROM and those that did the bring-up on the CM device tree, all I did was import the device tree into the carbon source and compile it ;)

I'm uploading a build from today to the Downloads tab above, will update the OP when up - about 30 min

Nice little carbon review

Thank you, it was my first ROM review on video ever :)

By the way bluetooth works good, you can scratch that off your list of things that aren't tested :)

Do we by chance have a changelog? I see we're on build 3 now (updated last night as you stated)

TIA

Blue, when I flash this updated rom (thank you for compiling these for us GPE owners btw) do I have to clear delvik, user mem, and cache?
I'm worried I'll lose all my apps data and all my settings of how I set up the carbon fibers.

I guess, what I'm asking is for those of us that are newbs that already have this rom, but an older version of it, and want the newer version... How do we flash newer version without losing all the app data and all the settings?

I know with CM11 when I would get a nightly I just download and let it do it's thing. But since carbon, is much preferred and I'm forced to manually download and install (not built into it like CM11) what's the method I should use?

Good question, the sort that I don't mind spending time to answer (and thinking about the answer) :)

When updating a ROM you should be able to forget about the format Data and just wipe the cache and dalvick cache. This will keep all the installed apps and their config etc.

If you are brave you can switch ROMs like that as well but is likely to make things unstable. Not too bad going from one AOSP based ROM to another but to something like CM/PAC/etc it is more likely that things will play up and you will get FC and the like.

Awesome, that's what I figured I wanted to check with you though since you've helped me in the past. Thank you for your help and compiling all these for us GPE guys even though you don't own a GPE

Charles thank you for your help.
I presume I clear cache and dalvik after flashing new update? Or before? Or both before and after then reboot?

You may have seen that I have been donated a GPe by a very kind member on here:D (if you don't want anyone to know that it was you don't put your hand up, or PM me if you don't mind me saying ). This will allow me to debug these little niggles that seen to be effecting the GPe, I might even get the converting tool I was working on to work.

Al up expect to see a little more GPe dev work when I have time

Hey Charles, I didn't try on power connection until you mentioned it. It doesn't work on my charger cradle nor via mini usb.
I have a LG G2 so I'm pretty savy with the double tap to wake.

I wonder if it is because I have a password on my phone? I will disable password and try that route.

---------- Post added at 11:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:52 PM ----------

Update, nope the deactivation of password didn't help any.

I wonder if us GPE guys have to flash the boot.img first, then the zip file?

I think when I repackaged the kernel I used the wrong one. Try the one I just uploaded...

    New Build: http://xdaforums.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=5901

    Notable changes:
Small changes to Battery Saver Mode
Fix Dialer/Phone background color being white when using Dark Carbon
    Added ability to pause/resume downloads
Fix text messages not being received due to blacklist bug
Added Battery Saver Mode (not sure if this was in the last 'stable' build)
    Plus other upstream updates

Nothing really new in the kernel except that it's updated to include 757 stuff.
