Only languages officialy supported by Acer in 1.033.00 are English , Spanish , French , Portugués

So that explains a lot to me know that some apps just won't show my native language , not going to put more time in this one sorry!

R12.5 special is back to main rom as that one is supurb !!
But I leave R13 available for now as the US people probably got better result with it.

hi, can anyone tell me whether the performance will be different using ics bootloader or ics v3 bootloader with this rom ?

R13 is running very smoothly for me. No wifi issues to speak of. I never tried 12.5. Having the v3 ics boot loader does seem to make it run smoother.

12 or 13 no luck on it , I'm running the full OTA 1.033.00 now to test it.
Well it's build for N/S America if you look at the languages so not for our routers.
I'm going back to 1.031.00 , if you look at the image build it is also a RC

Not so bad

Did the bootloader upgrade and went fine. After working, I reflash 12.5 and still got the screwed up boot screen, I thought that was fixed with the bootloader I just installed or do I need to flash v13. Thanks

SoD is back also. One more question when I run acer recovery it still shows 3.01 bootloader.

Loaded up v13 and no messed up boot screen. Waiting for sod.


With v13 all is good, no sod, or anyother problems. Got Wood

OK, thanks. I will try channel 1 which seems to be just a little worse than 12 and 13 (with wifi analyzer). Other channels are crowded. If I see a difference I will return to 12.5. ;)

Read m8 , You install R12.5 Special edition or R13 , that is for V3 ICS bootloader users and HC bootloader users.
Older versions of R... work only if you flash the ICS kernel yourself if you are on ICS bootloader .

To make it clear , If you are on ICS bootloader , V2 or V3 and you got SoD or any problem you flash the ICS kernel again ( see kernel section)
But in R12.5 Special Edition and R13 autodetection picks up V3 so they will give no problem

Can I make it even more tricky !:D

I'm gonna release a full stock version of this OTA rom , nothing changed to just deodexed it and zipaligned it.
And added AcerRing / Planner /printer .
That rom will OTA as nothing is changed to it.
Except your bootloader won't be replaced and your custom recovery will stay intact , and yes also a patched boot.img for people on HC bootloader.
The auto detection is build in.
ANd NO root , you need to do that your self if you want that.

I spoke too soon, got the sod again using r13
I have 0.03.12-unl bootloader version. How to tell if v2 or v3

You are on V3 , look in left upper corner when booting.

And I think something is messed up with your tablet m8 , this should be impossible when on ICS bootloader.

I will upload a full stock ICS kernel that you can flash with cwm but you will have to root it with the roor tool from dev section. If that still gives you sod then I dont know m8.
You are not using any CPU controlling app are you.


Upload it tomorrow.

If I'm running 12.5 right now could I install over r13 ? With hc boot loader and if not how do I install ics ? Could I flash that ics boot loader cwk listed on the op?

I'm confused with the bootloader ICS users, it serves as an input and what exactly was it more?

is there a tutorial for and installed a video?

if I install it, is that the installation of the Roma is still by CWM?

I put the R13 and I made a restore data, is that I lose some advantage of the R13?

    BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING PLEASE BE SURE TO BE ON THE ICS UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER.
    HOW TO DO THIS UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER THING?

    For Aroma installer you need to be on one of the following custom recovery's
    ezterry's A500PubRecovery
    or
    TWRP 2.1.3 (not 2.2...)
    or
    Thor 1.7.3
    or
    ra-recovery 3.17 (recovery-ra-iconia-3.17-gnm)

    INSTALLATION
    -first take a full nandroid backup !
    -First time installing this rom = wipe all , factory reset , format and make sure to format flexrom!!!
    -flash rom first with cwm or RA recovery
    -Reboot and do your settings.
    -Now you can use the Aroma packages or mods

    If you got problems please before posting them do the following.

    Performe a REAL format....
    here's how to on cwm:

    go to in recovery enter "Backup and Restore" and click on "Toggle backup and restore of internal storage (/data/media)"
    should say enabled....
    then go into "Mounts and Storage" and "format /data"
    this will REALLY format data and you will loose all you have in the in the internal memory.

    As I already mentioned this is my goodbye to the active community.
    I will still jump in to read some stuff but active support or new rom releases is just not for me anymore.
    Life got other plans for me.

    I joined XDA as a noob and to be honest I still feel a noob compared to some of the supurb dev's here on XDA.
    I would like to say thanks to ezterry , thor2002ro , vache , spica1234 , Stefan Gündhör , Skrilax_CZ , blackthund3r , Euclid's Brother , smaury , Moscow Desire and many more.............
    In some way each of you helped me doing my thing.
    I probably made some people mad but no hard feelings from my part.
