I have tried both but none is better than my customised rom which is based on stock rom with some customisation

Well installed it. Worked like a charm..even linked my apps to sd but suddenly....no sd-ext4. It was not mounting...so will wait for few more releases to finally get back to this rom. RAM was good though

I have used miui for 3 years. I think it's great, although it is not so perfect, but it has many
advantages, for example, you can flash your system easily without worrying about it will become a "brick" . Its operation is simple, we all know how to flash the system. What's more ,
it's interesting that the miui system can update every week, you can find some new changes every week, maybe they're not so useful ,but miui is always in progress.

Well, apparently now there's a custom cyanogen ROM for 1s fully working and very stable.
Just give it a try. Although you have to install a different different recovery, but that's not even hard to do. I think you can find it here in XDA, otherwise check htcmania and you'll find it there.;)

Edit: sorry, someone has already posted all these custom Roms so my post is obviously useless hahaha!

Hello people. I'm planning to get this device but I want to know something. I'm hell lot confused by user reviews complaining about overheating and low RAM. I know its bcoz of MIUI. But I know there's a CM for this device too. So, I want to know if heating issues persist in CM? And does CM has good future on this device? Means can we have consistent updates for CM on this? Please help me out as I'm damn confused between Android One and Redmi 1S. According to your opinion, which will be good? Don't care about MIUI, what bothers me is Custom ROM support and fully working CM with future updates. I want to suggest the developer of CM for this device (don't know who he is, if you people know then please let me know) that the CM project should be added to an automated build server like Jenkins. This will help the devs and users to fix bugs instantly. This will tremendously increase the development process and We'll not have to wait for the releases for long time, OTA support can be given to the ROM. I hope you people understand what I'm trying to say. Please help me out with my buy and do take a look at my suggestion. Thank You

They are all the same phone hongmi, redmi, red rice. Depends on who you buy it from. I bought red rice 1s. but phone is redmi 1s. I checked out the names and specs before buying. There is one with mtk cpu and one with qualcom cpu. There is CDMA version and WCDMA version. Reading up a little helps with understanding.
