LAVA iris 454

please somebody help me to root my new LAVA iris 454.
i am a novice in this matter. i want a thorough step by step guideline for:
1) how to make backup of my company provided ROM and how to reinstall it after 5/6 month?
2) how could i get root access of my my phone without disturbing the company fitted ROM?
3) how to install a new ROM & where should i get it?

Here , iam there to help out...
1--> Rooting the phone.

There are two ways one is from mobile itself and other is from pc..

From mobile..: download ginger break.apk and indtall it on ur device,then root ur mobile,there are two types temporarily root and permanent root..you select which ever u need.

From pc..: download super one click and install it on pc.run it and root the mobile.(on usb debugging on mobile).

Thats all mobile rooted....

2. This to backup ur mobile..,:
Download the costum recovery (google it with u r device model).
Install recovery .apk and it asks for .img file just now downloaded ,show it where is that on ur sdcard to that recovery manager.apk.

Now u Reboot into recovery i.e, u can go to clock work mo(cmw).
At there u see backup and restore.select that,ur stock rom will be completely backed up..
It will be placed in ur sdcard.

Whenever u need u can restore it.

3: to install costum rom.
Google it with ur device modle,download it and flash in cmw ^.

Please note backup must be done to any thing...so back up..

tnx sanjay, for your super-fast reply.it is very helpful. but still i have some quarry due to my lack of intelligence.

1) i am unable to find costum recovery for my lava iris 454 as you instructed"google it with u r device model". where should i found it?
2) the software "ginger break". is it applicable for ICS?

I never tried with ics(i dont have for now, but suarly i will buy next week), but why cant u give a try using ginger break.???

Orelse try universal androot..
Or try super one click.
Or try z4root.
Or try .........................many are there but not 4 u..(ics).

Suarly later i give link for costum rom...

I forgot to say one more thing
just download rom manager.apk, then select anything there, it asks for flashing costum recovery, it asks to select any mobile there.Ofcourse u wont be having u mobile go one by one if the rom manager say's succesfully flashed recovery.
Then say it to reboot into recovery,is it does good, orelse never think of it again till someone createz it to u...

Rooting & custom ROM for Lava iris 454

Hi,

I am using this phone from last 1 week. Before this I had nexus S.
This phone is must better than other Lava versions in this price range.
Even this is better than Micromax A110 in terms of screen resolution, ambient sensor, processing speed, battery backup, call clarity.
I can mention this because I used Micromax A100 and A110 for about 2 months.

I am not an expert but I must like to experiment with my phone.

Lava iris 454 can be rooted easily and unrooted also.
I did this multiple time on the very first day I purchased this phone.

After rooting I removed the stock demo games provided by Lava.

Now to improve battery performance, I switched off the extended core of CPU. It means I made it single core pragmatically.
This doesn't affected a single bit in performance, because I am not a game maniac all the time.

This improved battery backup about 60% than normal. I am always online on facebook, configured two emails account (15 minutes sync, push sync respectively), use Opera browser for about 2 hours a day, turn on wi-fi for about 8 hours, listen music for about 1 hour. All this exhausted battery 51% in 16 hours. Now you can imagine what a great performance is this.

I tried a lot install common recovery, but this device is not supporting at this time, or no recovery posted online for this type of device.
No custom ROM available online till this post is written.

I am expecting LAVA will provide at least JellyBean update official for this device.
I am planning install stock Jelly bean on this device, don't know what will happen after this experiment.

Hey un-stable, a news for u. Lava is going to launch iris 455 very soon. Same config like 454 bt with Jelly bean.

hi everyone,
i have just rooted my lava iris 454(ICS 4.0.4). i am very happy with my engineering (thanks to those members who helped me).
now before going to try custom ROM's i want to make a back up of company provided ROM.

SO, somebody please give me step by step instructions :

1) how can i backup my ROM.

2) After installing custom ROM how can i restore my backup ROM.

please somebody help me. i will be grateful.

See aakashing, install rom manager.apk.
There click any button,then it asks for flashing recovery,say yes.
It runs on internet,so it asks for few devices,so select first one..if all goes correct it will flash recovery or else it gives some reasons.ignore..

Now try last one , if it goes right ok, or else u have to wait till ur device gets costum recovery..:thumbup:

installed ROM Manager Premium v5.0.2.7
if select
1) "Flash CWM Recovery"]
asks to confirm ph model-> select iris 454 -> says "it does not have an official supported CWM yet. Have u installed a cwm based recovery manually?" -> if i select "yes," 2 option comes for confirm version cmw 2.x and cmw 3.x -> after selecting one of those nothing happen.
2) Backup current ROM
displays "new backup name..." -> if i click OK the system reboot. -> in reboot process an android symbol comes and suddenly it lay down like a wounded man. -> system hangs -> removing battery makes it solve.

hey i tried every rooting method provided on this earth to root my n400 but nothing works i hve correctly installed my adb driver via pdanet... but while rooting nothing happens except several restart...
i tried
every method i mean every thing.
