Rom Problem

hi guys ...
I have some problem with my htc wildfire s phone
information about my phone: 1.unlocked 2.s-off
but I don't know how can I install Roms in my phone !
I saved zip file in Sd card but in fastboot it does'nt work(I don't know what can I do in this part) !

what should I do ?

For that you need custom recovery.

Would u explain more ?
When i flash recovery and install roms i'll have problem with roms
for example : when i install some apps they don't work ! and phone will crash !!!
and...
what about kernels and gaps ? they need flash too ?
