I dont know if it is just me or if its the ROM. But i always had to wait maybe 1-2 min for albums to finally load after it crashes once so i can view my pictures.

Have never experienced this. You've tried clearing gallery cache or data?

You might try clearing the gallery cache/data as suggested above, you may also need to clear media storage cache/data and reboot for it to repopulate.

I am going to test 999, the emergency call in Hong Kong.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA

Before you do, find out if you can, without getting in trouble. I called my local non-emergency/inquiry number and asked if it's possible to test, they said no matter what an officer would be sent, no choice, so I wouldn't want to waste a police resource and potentially pay a fine. Some Googling indicated that some areas allow you to schedule a test call, others let you call and say "this is not an emergency, we're testing our phone system, blah, blah".

I reverted back to the 08 build or something like that and my emergency calls only issue went away is there a known problem with the lastest nightlys on this issue?

(when locked my phone would say emergency calls only but after it was unlocked it would get the signal back 75% of the time other times i had to to restart the phone to get signal back.)

Not saying you shouldn't test 911 if you're worried it won't work because it's always good to have confidence that it will work in a real emergency, but remember that in many jurisdictions this sends at least 1 police officer and possibly other emergency services out to check on the call regardless of what you tell the dispatcher, it may also result in you getting a not insignificant fine for doing so, I know this was pointed out a page or two ago, but I thought it worth repeating.

Alright this is all valid. So so far we have 2 people in America that have reported an issue, and everyone else in all other countries it seems to work fine. I can test it all day and it never goes through. No cops show up because it hangs up before it even rings.

This is definitely a weird problem.

In some places you can call the non-emergency number for the 911 call center and schedule a 911 test. You then call 911 at the scheduled time and they'll know it's not a real emergency.

I know, and there's nothing wrong with that at all, I'm just saying make sure you're not needlessly wasting emergency services time before you call 911 to test :)

I'm on the latest nightly now and the USB tethering still not working properly. I've waited for over 10 mins and the phone still wouldn't assign IP to the PC. Is there any app cache/data that I need to wipe for the tethering to work (I always wipe cache partition and davik cache after every dirty flash).

Wifi tethering works fine thou and so i'm sticking to it for the time being.

Please help....

EDIT: While we are on the subject, would it be possible to add at USB tethering toggle button to the menu? Quite a lot of presses needed in order to turn it on at the moment, many thanks devs!

Repositories for all AOSP projects have been created on our github to alleviate any potential mismatches (branch is 'jellybean').

While Jelly Bean won't require a major rewrite of all the CM features, the source has been re-arranged and re-factored enough that a simple merge isn't possible. So we will proceed with manual merging (this was to be expected really).

The plan of attack will be to cherry-pick everything from CM9 and fix the merge conflicts and relocations. It’s tedious but the only way. Ideally the original patch authors will forward-port their changes, so if you are out there and want to help out, join us in #cyanogenmod -dev.

+ Trebuchet might be messy to rebase onto JB.
+ Theme Engine will be messy.
+ SystemUI stuff will need to be restyled.
+ Lockscreen stuff will need to be restyled.
+ The current UX of Settings is good, no reason to change anything there.

A manifest (Cyanogenmod/android.git) will be going up later this afternoon, so the masses will be able to sync directly from our source at that point as well.

This will be it on the updates (so we can focus on actually working). Next post referencing JB should be when the merge/cherry-pick process is complete.

Why are some people coming in here like "why cm doesnt do it like aokp"?

Why do you think??? Because it ISN'T aokp.
I'm getting pretty bored about everyday i come in here, and mostly every post i read says "i have data drops with nightly X" "i have wifi drops on nightly X" "when cm releases a stable rc" "milestone"
Do you know what nightlies mean??? There are no bug reports, so all those complains will only be heard, basically when, you are running a RC and you get a logcat or kmsg to backup your claims. Otherwise, it's just user error.
So stop cluttering the damn thread and asking if this is good enough to be a daily driver. If you have to ask, then its not for you.
Go back to stock or aokp. Return your phone, you are holding it wrong. Buy a dumb phone.

It would be great if you guys who have changed to a 3rd party kernel would quit posting in this thread. Thanks
