I got my Combo Mesh Cases today and I couldn't be happier. It is the kind with the silicone skin and a hard outer skeleton. I bought 2 @ $9.95 each free shipping from eBay. I know I can get them cheaper from Hong Kong, but I got these from a US seller with great feedback. They arrived in 5 days of ordering. All the cutouts are correct and give me the protection I am looking for with very little added bulk. I can also have various combinations. (Yes I know, very girly  )

I usually don't care for silicone cases as they can get baggy over time, but I will see how these hold up.

I like the look of those. I found a US seller that has them for $8 on ebay. Ordered an all white. Thanks.

As expected, my white TPU case became yellowish in just a month.
Therefore, I ordered another white case from Elago, which I believe is made of polycarbonate material. Its color is less white than the SGP's TPU case but still looks good. It fits the phone very nicely without adding much thickness.
It works with NFC tags with the case on the phone also. I know this case won't stain like the TPU case did. Dark-colored TPU cases are really good, but if you want a white case, I think this G4 Slim Fit case from Elago ($11 from Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/elago-Slim-Ca..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1334242770&sr=1-1) is the way to go. :D

[Edit] It's definitely the best case that I have used so far. Even after using it for a few weeks, it's holding up well in condition. It's slim, sturdy and good looking- just the way I like it. :D

Never get a white Silicone case...it turns yellow Fast. I think most TPUs are safe except the flat white finish. The Gloss is the safest. Ive learned it the hard way from my old iPhone 4.

0.2mm Ultra Thin Matte Clear/White TPU

This one protects the back and chrome accent from scrapes, scratches & dings?~...

It does not protect the plastic bezel around the screen, nor does it have a lip to raise it any when placed screen down.

It has a "grainy" texture, but not grippy like typical gel / jelly type TPU. The noise cancelling mic hole was off and slightly covered it. I had to widen it a bit.

It's snug, very thin and as close to wearing nothing at all as you can get, besides using vinyl stickers or skins... Adds no bulk, slips in and out of the pocket like it were naked.

Purchased this case to get one on my Note quick and because I always preferred rubberized hard cases:

It is good for the price, decent quality and slim.

The case I ordered from China and am happy I waited for is this one:

Awesome case. They have all different colors but I ordered mine in Gold. Looks amazing, the pics don't do it justice but I got a ton of comments on it in less than a day having it. Has a hard metallic back and felt material lining the inside. Made for the International Note, but fits perfectly on the i717. Pics are below.

The gold case look awesome, but I don't think it has the protection for the front of the face, can you take some close up shots showing the edges..?

This is what I'm using as well. I was using a Unicolor(I think it was) before but this one has to be the best for me.

Phone feels great in my hands and provides scratch protection.

Sorry but the attachment manager wasn't working so I had to put the images in the thread itself.

I got this from ebay for $8 and I am liking it very much. I have been using a Rearth, which almost adds not bulk, and this case adds only a bit more bulk than that. The major difference is that it has 3 or 4 times more on the table lip. My only complaint is that the top half of the silicone on the sides is not tight on the phone and moves back really easily as you can see in the last picture. For some reason the bottom half of the silicone is on the phone tighter. The mic openings are not completely centered but it shouldn't be a problem. I'll use this case for some time to see how the silicone holds up and how much dirt/lint it attracts.

An easy way to fix the bending is carving out a small "trench" towards the top side of the weak part. Then put A small piece of plastic or metal there. Make sure it is flush and does not affect the buttons. It's easy, but if you don't like the case then it's not worth it

How's the level of tactile-ness? It seems as though all the current cases suck for grippiness.

I have this case too, initially I liked it a lot. I had my doubts about the silicone but it is kinda loose and becomes more so over time. I put double sided sticky tape on the sides along the edge to hold the silicone in place for now. I have a cruzer lite on order so I will let you know how that works out. Hopefully that will be my last case purchase for the gnote.

I wish Switcheasy would make some of their cases for other phones. I used to have some of the 2 piece cases and those were really good.

Update on this case:
I like the look of it but the silicone make it hard to get in and out of pockets. I used it for about a week and it doesn't seem to be a lint or dirt magnet as much as I thought it would be. For $8, it's not bad but I am constantly taking my phone out of my pocket and fighting the silicone gets annoying. I will go back to my Rearth which I love.

I like the look, however the screen and bezel would be damaged to easily it seems

#GalaxyNoteI717

Yeap, as much as a naked one would ;)

Then again the naked one would get the chrome accent and the back scraped too.

I was afraid of that bezel eventually snapping, especially having a naked MIK note that did, but I can say so far, it's not happened to the MIC note.

Pleomax Pudding, White, Black and Yellow

My Pleomax Pudding cases from Korea have arrived.

First impressions compared to the Mercury Pearl also from Korea.

It's a tighter fit (that's a good thing). Easy on, easy off. Black shows finger prints easily, it also has very limited sparse golden flakes that shimmer in certain angles. I wasn't able to get pictures of the effect with a phone camera.

The holes do give it a texture that has a little extra grip. Plus it's not a glossy smooth case like the rubbery TPU cases, kind of a dull navy blue. I can place it on my dash board and it barely moves, unless I make a fast turn. I love the look the white Note has in it as you can still see the white battery cover thru the holes.
As far as the drop incident goes, I was holding the phone in one hand and my kid in the other. He got all wiggly on me and had to drop him or the phone. I choose to drop the phone ofcourse. It was a 4ft drop onto tile.it took the brunt of the fall. No scratches or cracks. The case tough enough for daily use for me.I've already scratched the screen protector dropping the phone in the car between the seat and console. Thinking about buying clear liquid polyurethane touch up paint to coat unprotected areas.
