I like Nillkin cases. It saved my phone two times already.
I use this one: i01.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v3/652671159_6/With-Screen-protector-Nillkin-Super-Shield-Hard-Back-Case-For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-ii-2-N7100.jpg

    It is lightweight.
Look it up on google. There are plenty of pics on their site and there must be a review on xda too.

I have the official note 2 bumper case from Samsung. It's pretty lightweight, looks great, and offers good drop protection from most angles. There isn't enough of an overhang to really protect the screen if it fell flat, but otherwise a back/corner drop should be well covered.

The Diztronic TPU cases are also great, it doesn't look like a lot of protection, but I had one on my S3 and dropped it on tile, wood, gravel, and asphault without any major damage. They also feel and look great in hand. This probably is a bit better than the Samsung case on a face-flat drop since it's raised higher above the screen.

I'm a big fan of seidio active cases. They're less bulky than you think, but still offer great protection. Look good too.
