Looks like CooTek has released the new 4.0 version of their great keyboard. It is QVGA only in this post, VGA in post #3.

VGA skins

This is where you can download the VGA skins that I have finished. Black N Blue has not been updated but if there is no request for it in VGA (updated) then it will remain as it is, at least for now.

Attached also are the files to make the text white on dark face keys and color text changes for T9 and settings originally posted on the first post.

Think you could take the regular skin and just turn it black? Not invert it but make it black, just like 4.0 but black? lol

It's not freeware. You must pay for TouchPal.

I understand what you want but at this time I do not have the knowledge of how to make this happen. I have not found the way to change this. In the 3.5 version and older there was a background image not in 4.0 so I will continue to work on it. Hopefully someone here on XDA will fill us in on how to do this. Sorry..........will continue to look for a solution.

I have posted a request on the CooTek forum.

Black keys with midnight blue pop ups or the other way around? Right now I am waiting for a response from the CooTek programers on how to make the background dark instead of light. If you want let me know the answer to the keys and I can do it tomorrow but the background will still be like the top of the black one until I get a response from CooTek ok? The screencapture below illustrates what I am talking about and when you touch the keys it shrinks and shows the small key surrounded by the lighter background. Eventually I will get it corrected.

Maybe I can have it done by Sunday night, I will give it my best shot, you will have to be my tester for the VGA skin seeing as I do not have a VGA device.
