[Q] no "Exchange" option in my stock email app (4.4.2) unlocked GSM version

Dear all:

I need to use exchange to sync with my company's calendar.

I have noticed that other Nexus 5 has an "Exchange" option when one goes to Setting --> Accounts --> Add an Account --> Corporate

But my Nexus 5, which is also a stock ROM with no modification, doesn't even have this "Exchange option"
(see attached)

I desperately need that exchange option. How to get it? Is there an stock email app that I can download / flash?

My phone is rooted with no custom recovery installed. Can I get away without a custom recovery?

Do you have tibu and did you freeze or delete exchange services? You should have an exchange option. I'm on stock, rooted too and have no problems.
