Did you remove the option to customize notification led too? I don't see it anymore. Or I am blind.

LED still bugged on 0213. Managed to make the phone lock up by texting myself a few times. Unfortunately there was no last kmsg.

Basically I was trying the notifications out and the first one was fine. LED blinked a bit rapidly then slowed down. Cool. Second time LED works but after a few seconds it just stops. Oddly enough, when I turn screen on it started to blink again! I tried a few times more and eventually it locked up.

Wallet APK

I know this is slightly off topic, but one of the main reasons I have been waiting for a CM based JellyBean is so that I could finally get Google Wallet on this phone. However, much to my dismay I am UNABLE to find a Wallet APK that will work with this CM 10.1. The APKs that work with CM 10.1 on the GS3 and Nexus 4 do not seem to work with this ROM :/ Anyone have any pointers on how to find a Google Wallet APK that will work? Feel free to PM me so as not to clutter the thread.

Is there anyone seeing any difference between ondemand and interactive governors? Battery and performance?

In other news, build feb 13 is doing great. I do not see anything wrong for about 4 hours of usage.

I removed the intrusive option. i'll re-add and rebuild tomorrow.

would you just put toggles on/off notification/battery LED settings? I tried changing the colours on those but all I can see is green, unless if I am colour blind. :)

The Optimus G doesn't have the secure element required for wallet.

Re: CM 10.1 for Canadian Optimus G

So I went back to test 12 before bed because that was the last build I had where it was possible to disable the LED which I thought would prevent the phone from locking up.

This morning my alarm goes off but my screen is off and there was no way for me to turn it on to dismiss the alarm. This time there was a last kmesg that hopefully is of some use I took a brief look and I'm not sure it's from the crash.

Thanks for the log but that one doesnt show me anything. If you can try feb 13 test 1 it would be nice.

Tried Feb 13 test 1. The alarm appeared to work with both the notification on and off. However, LED was broken when I tried to test in settings and text myself (both red and green settings). PMed logs (sorry they're huge).

I was running one of the earlier (several weeks to a month old) versions of this rom for quite a while and it worked wonderfully (aside from capacitive buttons and NFC of course). I've been rapidly updating the last 3 or 4 days of roms though and I've noticed something I'm not sure I've seen mentioned here: battery life is now horrid. I installed the 13th (non-test build last night). This morning I've been off the charger for just over an hour, but I'm down to 80% battery life already.

On the last couple test builds before this (13th) I could see that the "nfc service" was killing the battery, but now that isn't showing up in the battery usage. It seems to just be draining quickly without much obvious reason.

I just wanted to post in case you weren't aware. Great work on this ROM!

Re: CM 10.1 for Canadian Optimus G

Just wondering if its possible to revert to the original display settings. The new tweaks have ruined the display for me, the whites aren't white enough and contrast is too high, gamma too low.. everything is just not balanced. Wasn't a problem on the old builds so I'm wondering if I could patch something to get it back to normal.

I agree. I downloaded an app for testing gamma (because I noticed the same thing), and the new display settings are really quite bad.

Also, is gesture typing working for anyone else? It was working on older builds, but now it's not working for me (cm-10.1-20130213-UNOFFICIAL-geeb.zip). The trail shows on the keyboard, but no words get inserted...

Oh sweet, I just eyeballed it and guessed. Glad I was right on the ball. And to answer your question, I have the same build and it works fine for me. Android AOSP keyboard right?

There is currently no way to tweak that once it's compiled. This is hard coded. I will see if I can do something to allow dynamically tweaking of this. Once i can finally fix the stupid leds.

Test build 3 is up, i'd appreciate some logcat when you receive notification please.

Hi, This is a continuation of the CM 10.1 nightlies thread. Things has been moving on and we are now at CM 10.2. I have been working with xboxfanj, houstonn and bbelos to bring you this. Again, this is based on mako with adapted change for optimus G. This time we are even more in sync with CAF (Code Aurora Forum).

    What is working
    Everything.

    What is not working

    You tell me.

Here are the repo needed for our devices :

    https://github.com/TeamPlaceHolder

Of course, you have to be rooted, to have bootloader unlocked and a working recovery to flash this custom rom.

DO NOT FLASH NEXUS 4 KENEL MADE BY 3rd PARTY. THIS WILL MOSTLY PERMA BRICK YOUR DEVICE.

This is simply because people tend to use partition number and not by-name and our partition is different than nexus 4 ones. i.e. The rpm partition on our phone is the boot partition on nexus 4. So flashing a custom kernel will flash a boot.img in your rpm partition and then you are bricked. You have been warned.

Like usually, i can't be hold responsible if you damage your phone during any of the process described in this thread.

    Thanks :

Thracky and houstonn who also works with me on this.

and juggie who found out the good file to change to get wifi working

    Download

All the downloads will go here :

    ribs.bbqdroid.org

    Use geeb package

    Gapps package :

    http://goo.im/gapps

    Modem :

There is a newer modem now available (From JB update. Houstonn and I extracted each of them and made flashable so you don't need to do the painful process of kdz only to get a new baseband)

MAKE SURE TO NOT FLASH KOREAN MODEM.

How to intall that rom ?

This require you to have TWRP or CWM already installed on your device. I recommand the former. On our device, this mainly mean you have rooted your phone and unlocked the bootloader.

Apparently, it seems these instruction where not clear enough. So I'll try to make them dumbproof. If you are not following these instruction and it doesnt work, dont expect support. It's like buying a cake mix where you only need to add milk and call the company saying their product is bull****, you added water and only got a brick. To add to this metaphor, Asking if it's because you used CWM instead of twrp or reverse is like saying : Did it didnt work because i used a fork instead of a whip to mix it ?

To flash this rom, you have to be on older Bootloader. You can alternatively flash the bootloader i linked in this thread. Read the post carefully before you flash.

    1. Download file in the download section.
    2. Put the rom AND the gapps on your internal SDCard.
    3. Reboot into recovery.
    4. Flash CM rom.
    5. Flash Gapps package.
    6. DO A FACTORY RESET (EMPHASIS HERE)
    7. reboot into system

There is a new build up. It has fixed bluetooth and has latest cm changes.

Is there ANY WAY you can add to this the changes in faux123's Nexus 4 kernel (see here http://rootzwiki.com/topic/36722-kernellinux-340-makojbuvoctuncifsv001-nov-30/#entry1032460) to reduce the horrible msm_hsic_host wakelock battery drain?

You sir, deserve a punch in the face. Come on. We are not at optimizing things. I'm still trying to figure out what is working or not. This is really stupid.

Note to all other user : I WILL NOT ACCEPT FEATURE BEFORE EVERY PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN SOLVED.

on a related note to your question, if you would have read carefully, you would have seen that i already use faux123 kernel . . .
Anyway, this is not going to be the case soon.
