According to sony site, it is here http://www.sonymobile.com/au/software/phones/xperia-z1/. I did not try it coz I have not been with computer for a few days.

I tend to agree with you otherwise why do Sony have so many different (counrty) versions.
You would'nt by chanch have 108.ftf ?

The differnces are either cosmetic or include/do not include certain apps to apply with local legislation. It also helps deliver updates on a global scale without everyone downloading at the same time. They can stagger the release. It makes sense to do this for many reasons.
All this makes no difference to phone performance. You can flash any regions FTF as long as its for your device (C6903 etc)
