Hi

Is USB OTG supported on this ROM / KERNEL
I ask because There is an App called USB OTG Helper installed

If yes, I need a Powered USB Hub to Work?

Thanks in advance.

How does this version compare to 2.3.7 regarding battery life? I have noticed that more that 20% of the battery is drained in idle, and airplane mode ON. Do you also happen to have reduced battery life with this ROM version?

I just downloaded the ROM in my Lenovo A1 and installed it through CWM (Install .zip from external SD), over my existing CM7 installation. Maybe this has to do with that?

Apart from that, the ROM is super: fast and sleek! Thanks dawkon!

CM7 has much better battery life. CM7 can idle for weeks without needing a charge. ICS can go several hours, up to a day with a decent battery saver app.

I actually just switched back to CM7 because I was tired of always charging my tablet and having unending problems with ICS. The devs did a great job with what they had to work with, but they just didn't have what they needed to make it usable. Mine is about ready to be relegated to the post of reader as my Nexus 10 will be at my door tomorrow.

Nothing is working, I tried everything, flash CW7, full wipe, installing stock rom 2.3 (row), I will try the solution than I find in a Chinese forum, if this works I will notice you.

Cross fingers for me!! Hahahaha :p

Thank you for the confirmation. I tried some tips for battery saving in 4.0.4 (such as disable data usage and sounds), which I found online, but still the battery was draining in idle very-very fast (drained from 80% in idle in less than 20 hours). In the end I got so frustrated that I decided to go back to CM7 - after all I didn't see any actual advantage in 4.0.4 apart from the different interface and the option to install a couple of apps incompatible with CM7, like Google Chrome (which was really slow anyway) and Google Keep (for which I have alternatives).

It must be something with the 16GB version of the tablet, as a friend of mine using SlimDroid v 8.1 by twsk & dawkon13 [07.04.13] in his 2GB version of A1 did not notice a battery drainage of more than 5-10% per day, which I also find normal. Since my battery lasts for days with the CM7, I believe that this is not a battery issue.

Well finally happened, my Lenovo IdeaPad A1 is death.

Take a look at the new Nooks. I got the 9 inch model and don't regret it. $149 it runs well and there are two modern jellybean Roms for it. My daughter is still using my old A1.

Unboxed my Nexus 10 today. Already in love with it. My A1 is heavy beside it. It's just a beautiful machine.

it's interesting that people have been upgrading their A1s with something bigger. Myself, I have gone the other way, and bought myself my first android phone! Huawei Y300, 4" dual core, ips.. yada yada for £60! absolute steal, and likely to do everything on it I did on my tablet... but better (was never impressed with soud quality on the a1). The A1 will be used now to train the wife on android, and to run the kids games.

I have my GS3 which is great and I love it, but the screen size is not practical for doing any kind of work or even reading. I used my A1 to do work, but the keyboard was just too small. On my Nexus 10 I can comfortably type.

As for the sound, I know my A1 had a bad speaker. It would crackle and hiss all the time. With that and the absolute lack of updates from Lenovo I've been scared off of Chinese companies.
