Ok don't panic...same thing happend to me. Just use flashtool and flash latest factory firmware for your region and model number and you should be all good...

Flashtool: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=920746

Recovery (Root): http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2261606

My advice: Stay on stock and use Xposed framework and GravityBox module ;)

P.S. EFS folder is Samsung specific...maybe some others...but my Nexus 4 nor my wife Sony Xperia Z Ultra don't have it ;)

Try Xposed framework and GravityBox module :) That is my recommendation ;)

Xposed feamework: http://xdaforums.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053

GravityBox here or from within Xposed Framework app:

757 is very old, this is why baseband is not working. try to flash a 14.4.a.0.108 firmware and all should be right in the world when you flash a 4.4.4 custo ROM
