JPX, JPY, JS3 versions are based on Samsung pre-compiled kernels. This is why those are feature limited (no Voodoo sound, no BLN, no sharpness adjustment).

Important note, I don't recommend installing this relase with Odin if you don't have a direct access to the Download mode with the 3 buttons combination.
Odin is known to give a % of flash fails. This has no consequences for most because if you retry it works, but for people unable to go to the download mode this is a serious problem (and a Samsung official bug, they distribute a hardware part internally to force the download mode access)

Does it includes Voodoo sound and color ?
- Voodoo color: sharpness adjustment and color rendering in videos only.
- Voodoo sound: YES

Also in stock+Voodoo builds ?
Nope, thos contains only the lagfix option (and su)

I want root !
Who doesn't
The technical setup is made automatically. If you want root, install Superuser App from market, that's all.

I'm a little worried that the oneNAND chip which has the /system, /cache and /dbdata partitions does not have wear-levelling. On the nexus S, google have used the YAFFS2 file system on the oneNAND indicating that it does not have wear-levelling. What is your opinion?

That's right, OneNAND is accessed as RAW NAND and doesn't support wear leveling by itself.

On our phone, this is the role of FSR, a software Flash Translation Layer, transforming RAW NAND into block devices.
RFS and Ext4 are both the same: 2 filesystem for block devices (like hard drives)
Google software choice to do the wear-leveling was YAFFS2 instead of the proprietary Samsung FSR solution. YAFFS2 manage the RAW flash but is also a filesystem at the same time.

On Galaxy S:
NAND -> FSR -> RFS/Ext4 -> files

On Nexus S:
NAND -> YAFFS2 -> files

All this means: you don't need to worry about premature wear of the OneNAND using Ext4. It's the same thing as in RFS.

PS: you can also
- disable lagfix (which only disable the conversion to Ext4) but keeps the memory optimizations and other improvements
- or also just disable conversion to Ext4 for /system which will stay in RFS.
