Many thanks, but can you edit the title to say this is for only the older firmware, as people with locked bootloaders cannot root the newer firmware, it may cause false hope and lots of annoying questions....

this worked ok, but after flashing Assaye V 003, i can't get into recovery, i re-ran install.bat, still the same, pressing volume down does not enter recovery anymore.

I was rooted the second time round too.

Im on a stock kernel, now on the FTF Kernel your provided in your ROM thread, for some reason, when i flash your ROM, CWM gets removed, i can't go back into it, i have to flash .303, and then use CWM to flash your ROM, i had to do this to upgrade form 003 to 004.

Locked bootloader, running Assaye v4. thanks to CWM. we just need a flashable version to flash after we flash roms.

You rock bro.

Device : Xperia T locked to rogers, rooted and free from carrier apps.

There's an easy fix for this as i just came from the xperia s and had to deal with a locked boot loader on it as well.
We need a flashable version of CWM. this way after you flash a rom before you reboot your device you install CWM, then reboot. then you have ROM and CWM.

I guess you could also try and run the bat file again. (didn't work.)

seems to be, but i have not used this.

    did you press any key?

Have you disconnected phone and powered on?

    1. what did u use to install cwm? how did u install it? how did u flash the Xperia_T_CWM.zip? how did u flash the Superuser-3.1.1.zip?
    2. after rooting the phone, what i did was i unzip the CWM4GXSX_v1.1.zip and i click on the install.bat while my phone is connected to the pc. but cant get cwm on my phone.

i have figured it out. the proper instruction supposed to be:

    1. Power on the phone
    2. When SONY logo appears, press repeatedly (not holding) volume-down until the phone vibrates
    3. Wait a few secods and you will be on CWM
