Hey everyone! Hope everyone here is having a good day. So what would you guys/girls like to see on a 2015 smartphone?

I personally would like to see these specifications/features:

- Dimensions/size similar to a Nexus 5
- Unique design that stands out from other smartphones
- 5" Quad HD display
- Front-facing stereo speakers
- 8MP front-facing camera
- 21MP rear camera with OIS + 4K recording
- Stock Android
- Physical home button with pulse notification LED on it
- Aluminium bezel with a soft touch plastic back
- A multimedia panel like the Galaxy Edge but something less pronounced
- Snapdragon 810
- 4GB of RAM
- Adreno 430
- 4000mAh battery
- 16gb - 128gb storage capacity
- Variety of colour options

Yes... A long list of configuration. Boring, I know. So I decided to make a video on this 'Dream Smartphone' of mine, which I called the '2015 Concept Smartphone'.

I'm a new user to XDADEVELOPERS, so I cannot post links. Dam. But if you type in 'XTPN 2015 Concept Smartphone' in your YouTube search, it should be the first video.

And please do check it out! It'll help a lot :)

On a side note, please excuse my poor video editing and 3D modelling skills. I'm a first Industrial Design student so it's kind of all new to me. However, I'm open to all constructive criticism.

Thank you for passing by,
Phil

Wow, that's a Nice one.

And also - 4k-Recording is Superior.
But don't forget: 1/2.0" Sensor!

But....
here are some problems with nearly every camera! Ugh, Horrible...

So all the best. ♥

I want to see:
HTC One M9:
Snapdragon 810
5.2, 2K display
13MP Back Camera, 4K Video 60 FPS
Even better stereo speakers with BoomSound
Even better sound in earphones
And be able to change HTC Sense on pure Android

Wow, nice idea! :cowboy:
But it needs also a higher bitrate, much space needed and it's not very easy to record longer than 3 Minutes:laugh: at Cine4k@60fps - in a few millemeter lens. Because of the Temperature..

What i think M9:
ULTRAPIXEL 6MP at 1/2.0"
4Mp was Horribly low. Why not 6MP? 6 Megapixels is the lowest i accept for a High-End Smartphone. But for 4kRecording, the Minimum is 8.3 MP 16:9.
And the HighEnd-Phone: 1/2.3"/Higher (1/2,0") and about 24MPixelƵ.

6 Megapixels - too low?

I think, 6MP too low. If to do UltraPixel then not less 8 UltraPixel

Ok, but then 10MP.
(4352x2448 = 10.6MP)

2844
2488
2448 is the height of [4:3] 8.1 MP.
16:9-8MP Is Actually 4k.

...and there's no big difference between 6Mp↔ 8MP - but 6↔ 10 Megapixels - you can notice the Difference but it's still no BIG Advantage.

But 4K is a big advantage in front of FullHD.
That's why Panasonic can easily advertise the Fƶ1000 in front of the R×10. (R⨯10 is from Sony.) SONY's R✖10 can record in FullHD. (

Thanks for checking out the video. Yes, and the sensor! Need a good one for them low light shots.

And nice posts on the problems you have encountered on smartphone cameras. Learnt a lot. Deserved a thank!

I miss them physical camera buttons too. Especially the ones that required you press the button twice(hold for auto-focus, then press again for a shot) << If you get what I mean. I don't know what the mechanism is called :p But I'd love to see it on more devices.

Nice! You seem to be a person who enjoys their multimedia :) I do too.

Some Camera Features

Because of the Dual-Camera of the HTC One (Second one has 2-MP) sooo many funny fake effects are possible

And 3D Screen isn't very important but a 3D Camera that yoou can Rotate for Horiƶontàl/Vertical shooting.

Don't forget Manual Camera Settings!

I hope this helped :cowboy:
...so have a nice day! ;)

That is really impressive. The world needs more people like you. Mmm not much. I've seen a video on it but don't recall much information.

I recently bought a GoPro Hero 4 Silver Edition. Woo!! Do you know anything about ISO and FPS?

And thank you for all the useful information :)

Lasty,
Merry Christmas everyone!

Lasty,
Merry Christmas everyone!

I'd like to press the Thanks-Button for this post - but i'm not able to do!
Where is the thanks button?
I can't see it!

FPS - Frames (Pictures) Per Second you see in a Video.
ISO - Light Sensivity. Lower - less noise of image (you can find example images everywhere on the Internet.) Try aloway to use a Lower ISO.

Well... lower iso - less light and needs longer exposure time but better Image-Quality.

But if there's less light and you choose a Higher ISO, it's like turning up a Radio with weak signal strength then also the background noise will be louder.

If a Video is with 15 fps, the minimum possible exposure time is 1/15 sek.

I hope i helped. All the best @xptN and have a nice day ;) :cowboy:

8MP isn't worthed it really - if it's 8MP 4:3.
It's a good resolution but the 3264 Width-Pixels are too less for 4k.

8,6MP-16:9 IS actually 4k.

For FullHD-Recording, the Lowest Sensor-Resolution which is needed is 2.1MP (1920x1080 FullHD)
