Sorry that I didn't wrote another post. Try to clean the "media storage" (don't know the right translation) in the all apps list and wait 10-15 minutes. If you can't change the messaging sound, go directly to messaging -> options and choose the file.

Thanks for the answer.
I try that, but it didn't work.

Now i have no sound, but also no buzz at all. I miss all the calls and notifications (incoming calls, mails, sms, alerts....).
When i use it with bluetooth headphone or with jack headphone i ear all the sounds (but still no buzz). Without that, nothing.

Any idea plz ?.
Will try tomorrow an other ROM.

Flashtool Update to be applied over vers 0.6.9.0 or 0.6.9.1

When applying it, replace any files from your installation with the ones in the update.zip

Once applied, in Help -> About you will have 0.7.0.0 version.

To flash ICS ftf, check the "No Final Verification Check" box. Check this box only for ICS bundles as I don't know how it would behave with GB bundles.

Regards,
Androxyde

The flashtool update is not found, so I attach here, hope it helps. Just overwrite the files in the existing installation with the files therein.

PS : In any case, there's a latest flashtool already version 0.7.1.0

This official for Arc S is ok but I am pampered by the smoothness of Gingerbread. I'll just wait for the official one for Arc, that one may be optimized better for lower stock clock speed.

:( doesn't work,
i get this error: (like justkiddinghere )

ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="MEMORY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="HASH_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Final data verification failed";

Edit:

To all people with this problem:
this step is crucial: To flash ICS ftf, check the "No Final Verification Check" box!

you don't need to unlock your bootloader to flash this official firmware, it works OK for both Arc and Arc S

(but in Arc I strongly suggest disabling the suggested extra apps in order to consume less system resources; they can be activated later through the included "Performance assistant" app)

To help everybody wanting to modify their build.props to have everything show the Arc, instead of Arc S, these are values that I currently use:

Code:
##### Final patch of properties #####
ro.build.product=LT15i
ro.build.description=LT15i-user 4.0.3 4.1.A.0.562 zf1_3w test-keys

ro.product.brand=SEMC
ro.product.name=LT15i_1247-1073
ro.product.device=LT15i
ro.build.fingerprint=SEMC/LT15i_1247-1073/LT15i:4.0.3/4.1.A.0.562/zf1_3w:user/release-keys
ro.semc.version.cust=1247-1073
ro.semc.product.model=LT15i
ro.semc.version.fs=WORLD-i
ro.semc.product.name=Xperia arc
ro.semc.product.device=LT15
ro.product.model=LT15i

The customization version is the Generic UK - I used it before upgrading the Arc to this ICS.

    I posted this in a different thread but I feel like posting it here:
    FlashTool showed an error too but I ignored it and continue flashing. Voila, the device boots.

    Here are very extra careful steps to get it working:

    1. Start up FlashTool.
    2. Get into Flashmode.
    3. Choose the ICS ftf and use these settings:
      psEA
    4. After that, flash again with these settings:
      psF7
    5. Finally this:
      psFo
    6. Unplug device, turn it on.
    7. Enjoy ICS!

    Tested on arc (LT15a). Ignore those errors because they show up after flashing a sin file.

    Hi,

    Flashtool will need to be updated to flash ICS. It fails and we are looking at it.

    As Androxyde writes we/he needs to fix Flashtool for ICS. It needs a partitions rezise command which is not implemented yet!

    Also i added MD5 sum to first post! The FTF file is good! FT just needs an update, like it was on X10 Times with 2.1 update!
