I see other custom roms have gotten things like the video cam working. We're really making great progress, there's not much left from stock that's not working now!

No bro, the AOSP ROM doesn't support HD video recording yet (in the stock camera app), however kamarush have said that he got recording working in his new kernel, but he couldn't get the phone to save the output video...

Battery problem

I'm getting a major battery drain. Around 70% in 8 hours overnight when phone is doing nothing.

Please note that I dont want to switch off data. I didnt do that on 2.3.4 and that used to give me about 20% drain overnight.

Thanks for the reccomendation. But if I turn off background sync then my mail (with work and gmail) wont sync. Is this really a solution? It defeats the purpose of having a smarphone if I cant get it to sync by itself.

I had the sync running on 2.3.4 (i also used to leave my wifi on overnight but have turned it off on new ROM) and on 2.3.4 I ony used max 20% battery overnight.

I have nothing different happening now than I did on 2.3.4

I sent the ROM to tester last night.

I'm looking for LwW tester with some debugging experience!
Need to know how to send me a DDMS/LogCat log, and GTalk needed too.
Please send me a PM if you can help me!

I don't really have debugging experience but i think i can handle it as long as you don't mind giving me some directions :D
Will be back on line in some hours.

    ExMIUIv4 3.2.8​

    Based on the latest Official Sony ICS 4.1.B.0.587 and MIUIv4 releases.

    Now it's working in LOCKED Bootloader too!

    Install Instructions​

    0. Get ROOT and install CWM. -> Only for Locked Bootloader
    1. You must do a Full Wipe in CWM (System/Data/Cache/Dalvik-Cache)!
    2. Copy the ROM to your SDCard
    3. Flash ROM in the Recovery
    4. Reboot & enjoy
    5. First boot is loooooong

    Kernels​

    Only tested the ROM with EXtended Stock Kernel!


    • Brightness setup disabled - because if I enable, we loose the Keyboard backlight.

    Hy everybody, who still using my ROM. I have some free time now, so I tried to update my ROM, and everything worked soo easy, so i'll post now the ExMIUIv4 3.2.8. I can't test it, I just built it with my sources, please try it, and report everything! Thanks a lot!
