Had the following issue today. Sent a group text to two people with aosp messaging app. In settings, the "convert to mms on group text" was checked. Both the people I sent the text to have iphones. They both replied and in both instances all I got was a blank box with a small grayish block in the center. Any ideas as to what this is? I know that also in both instances the repliers were only responding with text, not any multimedia files.

I was having similar MMS issues with AOSP messaging that eventually caused me to switch back to TW. I much prefer the look of AOSP but TW just seems to work better.

If you look at loserskater's AOSP MMS thread it states "90%" working.

There are still some issues with group MMS.

Don't worry, I am confident he will find a solution.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking the proper settings since 90% of my problems are user error.

Johnny
Lol
Most if not all the "problems" peeps have on xda r user error!
Appreciate the honesty, need more of it on xda. :D

Ive been following and flashing since 1.1 and thought i remember this being brought up before but never an answer. Does anyone know why stock email (exchange) "dims" in brightness when opened? Any way to stop this? Ive searched with no luck and can live with it, but sure is annoying. Thx.

I second (third?) this question. Be nice to figure out how to get it to stop doing that.

On an unrelated note, is there a way to stop the home button from waking the phone with screen off? I find this leads to turning on the screen by accident too often.

This ROM is awesome except for the fact that I can't get the navigation to work.

Any ideas how to fix this?

This has never been a problem before.

What do you mean by not working?

App FC's?

GPS not working?

Can't find you current location?

I won't navigate me anywhere. I put the address in and select navigation and it says searching for GPS and just never begins giving me turn-by-turn directions.

I just tried Navigation and it was working fine for me.

Did you try clearing Maps data?

Hmmm. I just cleared the Maps data and tried it again but no luck. It keeps searching.

Well coming from his rom should not effect anything on this one in anyway.
Your issue has not been mentioned by anyone else ( trust me I believe you :D), so my experience says you might have either a bad download or flash. Lot's of people enjoy this rom, so if you want to give it another try, I would redownload, and then reflash after doing a complete wipe of Cache, wipe Dalvik Cache, factory reset, system. I would do those at least twice to make sure nothing is "hanging" around and then load the rom. You could also use this: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2093898
Let us know if you redo this and how it turns out.

Ok I'll try reflashing and see if that fixes it.

Does GPS itself work? Is your location shown using Maps?

If not you can take a look here.

Olbbman's suggestions are solid too.

Yeah it does show my location.

Are you looking for a smooth and stable Jelly Bean experience?

A completely reliable and fully functioning daily driver?

Tweaked and modded as you have come to expect?

A Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish?

Introducing CSROM SGS3, a custom ROM based on Jelly bean 4.1.1 (DLK3).

Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish.

I don't want to force apps, GApps, themes, and launchers on you.

I will leave it up to YOU to decide how you want YOUR ROM to look and function.

    Using the Aroma Installer

This is a quick guide to using the Aroma Installer since this highly customized version may be slightly different from what you have used before.

Looks complicated, but is super easy. And I think you will appreciate the ability to customize your set-up without having to re-install the ROM.

    Enjoy!

Be sure to select your carrier!

    Installation:
    Nandroid backup
Factory reset in recovery if coming from a non-TouchWiz ROM (backup internal SD Card contents first)
Flash in recovery (button or touch)
Aroma installer should start within ~5 seconds

Choose a theme (if the colors look borked, go back and choose the theme again).

After agreeing to the disclaimer and viewing the changelog, Choose either:

Install or Update ROM - Installs ROM
    or
Add or Remove Features - Allows you to add or remove apps, launchers, etc without re-installing the ROM.
    ________________

    Install or Update ROM:
    Choose either:
Full Wipe - Clean install wipes system, cache, Dalvik, and app & system data (no media, etc).
    or
Update Wipe - Wipes system, cache, Dalvik (for current CSROM users only)

    Choose desired options.
If you don't choose a launcher, the TW launcher will be installed.
If you install both AOSP and Samsung email you will get repeated FC's.
You can install both launchers and decide which one to use after boot.

    ________________

    Add or Remove Features:
Be sure to select everything you want included in the ROM, even if it is already installed on your device.
If any given item is not selected, it will either not be installed, or deleted if it is already installed.

    ________________
    Additional Info
If at any point Aroma hangs, hold the power button until device reboots recovery (10-15 seconds).

If install completes and you get a "Status 0" error after pressing "Reboot" in Aroma, just reboot the device.

    ***************
    ***************

    Using the ROM

    RAZR Launcher and Circle Widget
Tapping the circles launches clock app, weather app, and battery stats
    Swipe circles to flip them
    Clock circle displays text notifications
Home screen is left most screen (not center)
Slide home screen right to see quick settings
Circle widget currently only works with RAZR launcher

    AOSP Lockscreen:
When using the AOSP lockscreen you must de-select all other lockscreen options.
