A power drain of -6mA to -10mA is very small considering the normal drain is somewhere in the line of -4mA to -6mA for my phone/configuration.

I took part into this project alongside with Xaffron, the developer of the fully featured clock app for Android, One More Clock and many other goodies for Android.

This is the free version. The limitation to the free version is that the special modes ( Lightning Strikes and Electric Sparks ) last for a limited time after each time you apply them. You can always re-enable them again, no limit there.For supporting the developers of this live wallpaper and removing this limitation, consider a small donation of $0.99.

Homescreen lags on Desire..transitions trough homescreens very slow...and yes i have enough memory

The cool thing for me is that this live wallpaper works fast even on my lowly MyTouch3G... it should even work fast on the G1.

as usual lags the home screen for launcherpro but what else is new there.

honestly the quality is kinda lacking. it's incredibly pixelated and i normally have the honeycomb wallpaper on my N1 and though the gradients get banded, it's not anywhere near as bad as this.

great concept and i'd love to run it, but it really needs some work on the quality of the graphics.

HD-version will be great.

Tip for further development:
An ability to choose color on the background as well, black, grey, green etc.

Question is, will a HD-version be harder on the lag? I'm getting some lag on homepage scrolling, but not more than other LWP's. (N1 on CM7 and ADW EX)

I'll let nemuro address the other points, but an HD-version should not be harder on the lag. I'm suspecting that I'm being too aggressive on the framerate, which is causing slowdowns (this LWP is pushing 60fps). I'm investigating and future versions should be more homescreen-friendly.

Your idea would be a great feature, however it would greatly gain distance from the original Honeycomb look we had in mind when we developed this.

Take this LWP as a celebration of the newest Android in the making.

    A power drain of -6mA to -10mA is very small considering the normal drain is somewhere in the line of -4mA to -6mA for my phone/configuration.

    @neok44 The issue with the quality is because we initially wanted something under one mb. I had to compress the pictures as much as possible.
    As we speak, I am preparing an HD version which will be available within moments and which, I am sure, will meet your expectations.

    You can bet on that. It's way past my bedtime and the hd version still needs some testing. Expect about 600 kb gain in size. Hope I can make everyone happy. Wish me luck.

    @RystNET: Thanks. Will take a look. Can you also post what the preferences screen says near the bottom?

    It should say something like: Screen DPI 160, Screen Dimension 320x480.
