[Q] Root Xolo A1000

Hi,

I've tried to root my phone using the Bin4ry method, however, its not working. Can anyone please suggest an alternative?:crying:

Root Xolo A1000 (Finally)

Hi Friends,

After searching high and low to root my Xolo A1000, i came across a method to successfully root it.

Here is the link for where you can find the steps to root XOLO A1000.

Please note that the given tutorial if for XOLO Q800 and uses the scatter file and recovery specifically made for that model. Please use the correct scatter file for XOLO A1000.

PS: I've attached the correct scatter file and recovery (TWRP) on this post.

Also, please refer to the attached screenshot of SP Tools to enter the correct Hex values for begin address and container length. :angel:

All the credit goes to the thread owner. :highfive:

when i start the process...by clicking write memory option...should i connect my xolo a1000 before starting the process or after starting the process...its got stuck and i cannot see any proceedings...

Connect ur phone after u start the process..make sure ur ph is off and u have installed the vcom drives for mt6577..in case u dont have the drivers you can easily get them from google..or else let me know

yeah you are correct..this exactly looks like Xolo A1000..

Root xolo a1000

hey hello everyone, hello xda!

now that we are into serious business, i have a very peculiar question though

can't we root the xolo a1000 with the old pal SUPER ONE CLICK?

and similarly, doesnt the SOC root any android device?

its because i want to install a jellybean 4.2 rom into it! and if not possible i have some apps in mind which i want to work on my xolo device!

hey guyzzz...i tried to connect my otg cable on my xolo a1000...but it didn't worked...sooo is there any way or any software or any other way so that i can connect my xolo a1000 to otg cable....plzzz help....:crying::crying:

Installed recovery and tried to root.. got stuck in boot ... then got similar rom from omega hd and iq6 .. installed the rom with sp flash ..

now phone is back.. only differnce is boot screen its not xolo logo... and the other rom is much smoother than xolos

Guys found something awesome..... xolo a1000 is a rebranding of omega hd and iq6...

iQ6 has 12 mpx cam and 2 mpx front cam.... but xolo spec and software show only 8mpx and 1.2 front cam..i guess the hardware is 12mpx and 2 mpx

I installed iq6 rom and now cam is 12mpx and has 2mpx front cam

Check android hardware info on ur phone
check the screen shots

Update : i can record video in full hd ......1920 x 1088
