Eclipse Build 7 test ROM

this ROM is available at Nitro's website and I won't post a link to it per xda rules I suspect that are in place.
I installed it and in process of setting up when I had issues with google playstore able to download and install ANY apps. This is a test build so its subjected to issues. I left nitro feedback on this issue. Could be due to my phone having MJ7 build base.

Not for MK2 ?...... Posted on wrong page, ...Tried and Failed thrice!....

---------- Post added at 05:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:32 AM ----------

unless the rom is posted in our DEV section and says its for verizon S4 and safestrap compatible, I don't load it. I am not a ROM tester guinea pig

Amen...I tried it...and it also did not run on a vzw....But it says VZW compatible..these should be caught ahead of time by the Moderators...

My favorite Safestrap Rom

I have AT&T Note3, rooted running safestrap, and been running X-Note_Port_7.0_ML2_B1.4 in slot 2 for a month or so. My opinion: it's one of the top roms! Tethering, Bluetooth, playstore all runs great on my device. My battery is great with it. My setup runs at 35037 with this rom. Just my 2 cents. :D

To All:
I will resurrect a thread on Safestrap Compatible ROMS on verizon S4. I will attempt to try installing and setting up before I post the ROM and the link to that ROM. Please feel free to add to this BUT this is not a thread to ask specific questions on those ROMS. Those threads exist in other forums.

No CM, ASOP, or GPE based roms are compatible with SS3.70/3.71 andriod 4.3 build.

NOTE:
All revisions of the I545 after MDK (ME7, MI1, MJ7, MK2) can NOT have a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM, only Safestrap can be used.

NOTE:
I will start including Antutu benchmarks based on my setups with each ROM

To locate your firmware version (build number) use Settings/More/About phone. Read the "Build number". The last 3 characters are how we describe what version your phone is using and why we always ask what build or base you have. Do not confuse this with the radio baseband.

You can not flash to previous firmware releases.

USB communication with S4 can be touchy, I recommend only using the samsung USB cable that was provided with the phone.

All files downloaded need to be verified to their checksum MD5. There are free md5 checkers for windows. I strongly urge to download to PC and copy to extsd card.

Can someone explain to me what makes a rom safestrap compatible? What can I do to a rom to make it boot with safe strap?
The ROM needs to be built to use the stock TouchWiz kernel that's on the phone, as Safestrap can't replace the kernel. (Flashing a non-Samsung kernel will set the "Knox Warranty Void" flag.) per k1mu

"The number one reason people brick their Verizon Galaxy S4 phones is due to attempts to flash TRWP or CWM custom recovery and using Goo Manager, dd, and other tools without understanding when those will or won't work. The Verizon S4 is very locked down, and will reject such attempts in most cases."
per k1mu

Currently running Foxhound 3.6 in slot 3 and hyperdrive 14 in stock slot both are running great!

I thought that Foxhound was AOSP based not touchwiz I may be incorrect just wanted to get a second opinion!:confused:

I just want to know if it's safe to install hyperdrive v14 in the stock slot? I really like this rom and I don't think I need the stock one but I want to make sure if I can

Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium HD app

It can be done but safestrap developer doesn't support it. Better to post that question in hyperdrive trhreads

Any Safestrap MJ7/MK2 users want to test a BajaROM port I made for the S4? I need to confirm it works for people other than myself on Safestrap (I installed it fine on both stock slot and rom slot). It should work fine without issues, its worth noting that initially there maybe some android.phone fc's but after a minute or two it will return to normal and also that this rom will work on both MK2 and MJ7 but if you're on MJ7 and don't flash the MJ7 modules afterwards you wont be able to use wifi or tethering. Any feedback would helpful, and you can do that via PM or posting here if you'd like.

Thanks
