You can flash directly provided you clear the cache etc. and follow the install instructions closely:

1. Do a factory data reset
2. Boot into recovery mode
3. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
4. Install Part 1 until you get the install completed message.
5. Select Reboot Now and let the phone boot up and you should get to an Android setup screen. Don't use advanced CWM mode or reboot into recovery
6. Setup the phone as requested and then reboot the phone into recovery mode again
7. Wipe cache and dalvik cache again
8. Install Part 2
9. Reboot phone and everything should be working...
10. If you get any error msgs, try removing your external SD card and start again.

Screen Saturation

I noticed that the screen colors are kind of weak in comparison to "old" android 2.3.x builds. Changing the display mode to dynamic didn't make it better in terms of saturation..is there any hack or method to get back the crisp colors?

swype issue on ICS

Has anyone else having issues getting Swype to stay as their default keyboard?

I constantly set it active, then as soon as I try to use it, it defaults back to the rubbish sammy kb.

Once you go swype, youll never go back! Unless you cant keep it active.. grr.

So i used to be a fan of Lightning ROM, even tried LitePro's new ICS ROM, but this ROM, it the Bomb.

Im getting great battery life, its one of the smoothest ICS ROM's I've ever used. I'm loving the features and the launcher. Top Notch.

If i get the chance i would like to do an English review on the ROM, because it is awesome. :p

Can someone please help me.

I got this working wonderfully apart from a couple off apps which just hung there but I could live with that.

I did a CWM backup and reflashed back to Foxhound 3.0 while I waited for the alarm fix etc.

However when I tried to restore the backup I got a sum mismatch. Thought it might be due to GB vs ICS kernels, so I tried to wipe, install a clean version of Foxhound ICS, before restoring the backed up ROM with all my aps but to no avail.

SOmething wrong with my system, or does backup / restore not work at present, can someone else confirm?

foxhound 0.2 is amazing so far.

can call rec or whatever that app was be integrated in the dialer like it was on the previous foxhound versions?

is there a way I can integrate it?

Thanks a lot.

CWM Backup certainly works because I restored my backup yesterday after trying out CM9 for an hour or so and deciding this ROM is much better.
I can only imagine that your backup had a glitch somehow...
I backed up my system after I got all the graphics and icons and screens tweaked how I like it but before installing my apps.
I find that app install later is so quick and easy anyway, that I usually follow this method.
Also, because all my apps apk are stored in a directory on my SD Card, sometimes I don't even bother installing them until I want to use the app : )
This also makes a smaller backup this is much faster to restore.
