On a normal mobile where you can replace the battery`s easy, I dont care how i charge it.

But as the battery on the HOX is not really user removable, As i am a light user 40% can last me a day easy.

So i will baby my battery, I just downloaded an app called "battery indicator pro" that gives an user adjustable charge level alarm , I have it set at 40%-80% , also you can set a temperature alarm and a battery health alarm, and it give you an estimation of how long your battery will last and also how long to will take to charge.

I spent a lot of time on the website below, same user name.

EDIT : there is no reason you cannot use 10%-90% , your battery will live longer.

Thanks for clarifying that John but I wonder, are there people (please excuse me if you are one of them) that actually sit around worrying about how many battery cycles they have and charge to 80% and recharge at 40% to save them? (*Or charge to 100% and recharge when it hits 60% religiously)

Maybe I'm just too carefree but that sh&* seems real OCD to me but alas... to each their own. YMMV

Those tiny solar panels are no good, you need to buy something bigger and more powerful.

Have a look at the "Goal Zero Nomad" range and the "Goal Zero Power Packs"

Any thoughts on one of these? Or any positive experiences with a solar charger for other phones? Where I live there is plenty of sunshine and it would be very handy for camping as well

Thanks for that. Yeah, now that I think about it, I usually don't go all the way to 0% and never really have. Even with spare batteries on hand, you never know when you have grabbed the wrong one and the spare is damn near dead too. :D

So I guess subconsciously I have been saving my battery.

*The Anker 5600mA charger/battery pack has been working out great and works as designed. I'll definitely be ready for the Evo 4g LTE once it drop in (hopefully) June.

I got this but with a full charge, its only giving 60% battery to my one x, 64% if the one x is off. After calculations does it mean that its only giving another extra 1152mah to my phone?

Are there any other factors to be taken into account because i bought thinking that it was 2000mah and it providing just almost slightly more than 50% efficiency is unacceptable.

Any electrician/physicist here that can clarify my doubts? Did i get faulty product? I emailed belkin 5 days ago and they haven't got back to me.

i'm getting my one x in a couple of weeks and i'm a bit worried about the battery capacity. so i searched around a bit and found this: http://androidadvices.com/fix-htc-battery-drain-tegra3-power-management-software-bug/
someone has found a bug in the software which causes the battery drain on the one x. you can find info on this on several pages, as:

http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/13/htc-one-x-gets-unofficial-power-management-fix/

http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/htc-one-x-owners-fixing-battery-problem-by-themselves-50007651/

http://androidandme.com/2012/04/sma...with-unofficial-tegra-3-power-management-fix/

by what i know, htc haven't released an official fix for this but if you're desperate you may want to try it. personal, i'm waiting and hoping that htc will consider releasing a fix or something.

Efficiency of transfer is anywhere from low 80% of rated capacity, to 90% or more if the OEM is upfront about what you're really getting.

I've read that due to all the heat that is being generated when charging the phone battery a lot of energy gets wasted.

You can run the 2000mA port but the device (and most receiving devices) will control the rate at which it will "receive" the charge.

That is to say, sure, it's gonna a charge but only at 1amp. :)

Sent from my Evo3D with XDA Premium App (but I still know how to search)

i am using the new trent 11000 mAh portable charger for my phones and its a beast. charges up my nexus s 6x before dying. Only downside is that it only charges one device at a time.

I have ordered one (delivery tomorrow). Looking forward to not having to keep watch on my battery level when out and about and charging my phone/tablet where I want to rather than being limited by where sockets are :)

Update - My New Trent iCruiser IMP1000 turned up on Friday and I gave it a full charge. So far I have recharged my MP3 player and my One X and the Trent still shows as full. This beast is brilliant! I can also charge my Prime and Sony Smart Watch (when it arrives). I might use it to charge the PS3 pad that I use with my Prime too. 1 charger for 5 items so far is ace! :)

I am planning to purchase this Anker Astro3 in India. It wasn't available anywhere in India or Online. I am afraid of custom charges to purchase it directly from US or UK.
I found it was the best and branded, So I felt it was trust worthy.
Can any one tell me if this was available anywhere in India, So I could reduce the cost. I am getting this for 85$ (55$ was the actual price)
Any Suggestions? Any other item with warranty(available in India)?
Thanks in advance!

Any one Using this iCarrier?
