Opinions: New Android "L" copying iOS 7 design UX

I was watching the live stream for Android L's new "Material" design principle. I'm slightly disappointed because it looks like a direct copy of iOS 7. What are you guys's opinions? See the below webpage.

See the third preview video under "Examples." Signal cluster, battery, and clock positioning are nearly identical to those of iOS 7.

This is Google's new design platform, and not Android's design platform. It is still strange why the iOS UI is there, though.

This screenshot maybe can explain Material Design is copy of ios or not, this app is path & path talk on kitkat. Kitkat support half of material design from L, before ios does.

Material design is design that split status bar, header and body to different accent color.

Just went to the page again and it seems that Google has edited the video so that the status bar no looks like iOS's. No idea what's going on here
