I was a idiot and did a backup on my s3 in raw file format before flashing a rom that ruined my data. I thought since i was rooted i could do it that way and reflash my original rom get my phone back to exactly where it was by coping the files back over. I have tried doing that but all i get back is my pictures and music, no contacts and some files connected to some apps. I could care less about anything else i just want to figure out where the contacts directory is located and how to i copy them back to my phone in raw file format. I thought i had them backed up on my pc because i transferred all my phone files via usb.Was Running [ROM] [STOCK] T999UVDMD5 | 4.1.2 | Deodexed on my gs3.
How exactly did you create the backup? As in what steps/commands?

i just connected phone and just copied and paste files into a folder. i have a feeling i dint copy everything i needed to.
Hard to say for sure. Some user apps do store info on the sdcard, but most system apps do not...
