NewEra ROM

Changelog

NewEra

  • TouchWiz 4.0 (MOD of TW 3.0) with 5 Docs and grid 5X4
  • SystemUI completely remodeled
  • StatusBar remodeled
  • LockScreen of Galaxy Note
  • Settings menu look like ICS
  • Framework remodeled to look like ICS
  • ROM faster than ever
  • CF-Root B84 working very nice
  • All in EXT4
  • Chance of overclocking (up to 902 MHz)
  • GApps update + Google Music Player
  • New icons (almost all have been remodeled)
  • No any customization
  • Removed ALL useless apks
  • Improvements in the amount of RAM normally used
  • 22 MB free system (believe me, it was difficult to reach that number)
  • Improved installation script
  • Extreme improvement in the capture of GPS signal (using network data, since EDGE)
  • Using a standard PT-BR (partly)
  • Fix ALL of BUGs Status Bar
  • Phone completely remodeled (Black Theme)
  • And the rest, see for yourselves

I removed all tweaks, because some people like and some people don't like, then I leave to the discretion of you

Guide of Installation

  1. Put the ROM on SD Card
  2. Go to CWM5
  3. Make "wipe data/factory reset"
  4. After, "wipe data cache"
  5. In "Advanced", make "wipe dalvik cache"
  6. Go back and choose "Install zip from sd card"
  7. After, "choose zip from sd card"
  8. Choose de ROM (ExtremE_V1.zip)
  9. After completing the installation, go back and choose "Reboot system now"
  10. Enjoy ;)

OBS: For correct operation of the ROM, it takes at least two reboots
OBS2: MOD for GPS works very fine on South America, for correct operation in others continents, just edit de gps.conf to your continent

BUGs

  • Impossible to access the settings for brightness and volume in the settings menu
  • No bootanimation
  • Two identical items in the menu settings

    it's not touchwiz 4
    so putting a tw4 there may mislead noob ;)
