Re: [ROM][SGH-I317 / t0lte][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies

What gapps do i install if i am on 4.1.1 Jelly Bean ?
Thanks.. im a lil new.

You install gapps based on the ROM you are installing not what you had installed. Latest cm10 is 4.2.2.

The lowest cm10.1 in this thread (official) was 4.2.1 so you should always have been on gapps 121212.

Has anyone noticed that the reboot menu is gone?

It's not gone - cm changed the access to the reboot menu for security reasons. It's still there, but you have to access it, after you've got permission to get into the phone, so your friends can't mess with your phone ;)

What's a good kernel to use that would make me able to charge my phone while I'm on it (since the battery is dying while its charging) and won't have my phone so hot...

Bluetooth Issues Again

I experienced a problem after making a bluetooth call - I did not disconnect blue tooth - only attempted to hangup the call - and in the process - the craziness begain.

I made two calls on bluetooth in my car - both calls went well - no issues, sound quality good.

I made a third call - and then hungup - hanging up on the call - a spinning circle on the screen indicated it was trying to hangup - never happened, just kept spnning like it was working - but couldn't complete the task. Finally phone froze - and I had to reboot.

On reboot - when I made a blue tooth call - the distorted audio was back.

I went into recovery and restored my nandroid - made a call - seemed to work audio was good again -tried to hang up (end call) and the same thing started all over again.

I had seen someone say that if you tried to change from blue tooth to speaker in call - things got weird - but I ddn;'t do that - all I tried to do was hangup on the call....

I just thought I would share...

Stock kernel and I believe saber kernel for aosp are your only options. Secondly mine doesn't discharge while using. You probably have like every feature on with brightness up high.

There is a new fix released tonight for this.... I believe. Test it out... Let us know :) it states clearly in the change log it's to "fix the switching of devices in BT". Hopefully you're problem gets resolved with the fix. :)

Yes, but how do i install Gapps, ? im on 4.1.1????? what do i do thanks.

Basically when you install this ROM you install gapps immediately After. If you have the play store on your 4.1.1 you have gapps installed for your current used ROM. You install it only when installing Roms.

I hope your still using your supplied charger because it charges at a higher rate due to larger current (mA) ... if you use a 3rd party charger or USB expect a discharge while use.... Especially in car chargers while using GPS.

EDIT: The (mA) should not be greater than OEM charger (2000mA i believe?) as it can deteriorate your battery!

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     *
     * Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
     * cause of male impotence.
     */

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Great friggin' news:

    Yep, we did it again! Our opensource audio HAL seems to work almost fine.
    Incall earpiece, speaker, mic and bluetooth are working. A2dp works also.
    Since Google Now works properly i assume the Camcorder will be fine, too.
    Headset is working as well.

    Please test it.

    Known bugs:
    - mic mute broken during calls

    you got codeworkx and sbrissen to thank for kick starting this. :highfive::highfive:

    Thanks, I just installed ForceKernel (OC TO 1,920Mhz) and then run some benchmarks and it's much slower than Perseus, I used to get in Perseus around 7,500 in Quadrant and now I get around 4,500 to 5,500, am I doing something wrong ?

    NOTE: I am using SetCPU and the Governor is "pegasusq"

    world is going to end because your ePenis has narrowed because of less score?
    that's damn hard.
