Restoring a backup from a different device

Long story short, I just had to RMA my Nexus 5 for an intermittent problem with my power button.

I've been running DroidKang for quite some time and I have a backup ready to go. My question is - as long as there is no EFS data being restored, I should be able to install the backup from my current N5, correct?

If there are any problems I may run into, please let me know.

If your plan is to restore a nandroid without the efs partition you should be fine. The nandroid should be just the system, data, and boot partitions.

You have to specifically include it in a backup.
