Google Now Launcher has been made available for all GPe devices.
But for the S4 even after running 4.4.2 it ain't avilable on the PlayStore.So follow the link to download it on your device !

Tried it and can't get it running
Always telling me to update google search although I already got the newest from play store

I have runned the app my self on my s4 running 4.4.2 stock Touchwiz ...
And it ran wothout any error ... I'll be posting Screenshots within some time for your concern

it would be awesome if you could upload your google search apk so I could try it that way

hey man, excuse me.. but what widgets are you using? i liked very much of calendar, calculator and weather widgets. Can you say me what name i look for on play store? or can you put the link of this widgets? thanks.

actually u dont need to install it on your phone... i provided this file because he demanded for it

First install the actual launcher itself and then if it doesn't works u could give this file a shot...

Hey man, the same happen to me. I just reinstalled the apk and worked fine =)

When you use a third homescreen and restart many of the apps are scattered and others are missing. You have to drag them again.
