I know gaming battery life may not be great. But for other use I think battery life is awesome.

I'm currently at 2d 2hr 17mins with 7hrs 26mins screen on time still have 26% remaining. That's with absolutely no gaming, only rooting, installing all my apps and setting it up. Also a bit of Web surfing and YouTube.

Should It be rooted in order to get your specified battery life?

How on earth?! I've had my Shield tablet for less than three weeks and I barely get 5 hours of screen on time.
