Re: [ROM][Feb 09][4.2.1] SmoothROM v4.4-Smoothest ROM-Deodex-Zipalign-Tablet UI-Stabl

It will only be the nav bar, I will provide an auto hide feature after x seconds ;)

If you would like to hide your Navbar, just make one simple addition to your "build.prop", file located in the System folder of your Nexus7. Add this under the last line of your current build.prop, save it, and then reboot your device:

qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

Add that and reboot. Your Navbar will be gone.

Want your nav.bar back? Simply erase that line and reboot again.

Really works.

Just make sure that you have Lmt enabled first so that you have home and back buttons.

having an option to just hide the NavBar, at least, would be great. that way we could use LMT without having to lose the statusbar in expanded desktop mode.

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1497558

This works perfect for hiding just the nav bar and using lmt.

I use LMT off and on. But it hides the statusbar, that's annoying. An auto hide feature for the navbar will be awesome. ADW launcher is great for swipe-up to hide statusbar and swipe-down to show/open statusbar. ADW + the hide feature will be great. I'm still on 4.3 atm because I'm just not in the mood to wipe and restore, especially since 4.3 is already perfect for me lol

CyanogenMod works on 4.2.2. So James will update SmoothROM when CyanogenMod will make a stable 4.2.2 ROM

Ok folks I need some help. I was running 4.4 with multi rom twrp everything was awesome until last night. I flashed multi rom ubuntu preview and checked it out. I decided to after install the full Linux version which worked fine also. Problem was that it erased my backups on my nexus 7 (although prior to the install I did save a copy of all backups to my pc whether that will help me or not) So I had no choice but to un root and restore factory stock. Then I re rooted and re flashed everything I had before (non ubuntu) none of my roms will work now. Every single one boot loops. I've tried smooth rom (my favorite) aokp, cm, paranoid android but they all boot loop. What am I missing here? Using the latest twrp multi rom recovery. This is driving me crazy

I guess you didn't save all of the nandroid backup. I remember having this same issue, with Cwm saving parts of the nandroid in two separate locations. Figure out whether you have all the backup files needed for your recovery

Ok here's a dumb question. ..since I've never had to do this if I just move the back ups from my pc to my backups twrp folder should I be able to restore it properly? If I were at home with my pc I could probably just try it instead of asking but im not home. And if it works ill be thrilled. Although it won't explain why everything is boot looping.

Don't restore a backup as it has the same effect as if you wouldn't wipe. Only backup few apps data that you need nothing more ;)

I don't mean my app backups are on my pc. My nandroid backup is on my pc. Should I transfer to wear it needs to be and restore it and expect it to work?
My biggest concern is that everything is now boot looping when I previously had them installed on my tablet. Cause I cant have all roms boot looping. I need to be able to successfully flash! Is it possible the boot loop cause is an outdated root tool kit? Cause my twrp is up to date.
On my way home to sort this out. Btw thanks for your response to this. I'm hoping that I can fix this with little pain but if not I hope you or someone else can assist. This is ridiculous. ..I'm feeling like a noob! But I'm really not!

Re: [ROM][Feb 09][4.2.1] SmoothROM v4.4-Smoothest ROM-Deodex-Zipalign-Tablet UI-Stabl

Hey I just got my nexus 7 (first tablet) so I've been looking around at all the different ui options. I flashed your ROM and I'm really liking it! My question is; with the tablet ui is it part of the framework in a way so I can update/use ex version of adw and keep the tablet ui or is this version dependent on the current adw installed? I did a search but I'm joining the party a little late so I appreciate your input. Thanks

Is there by chance a mod that will disable the battery and sound notification that comes up at 14% battery and 4% battery? I would love to have one because those get annoying really fast.

The launcher doesn't affect the type of ui. If you want to use adw ex or anything else you can. Adw Ex is the only launcher I use. Used it on tab ui, but I prefer normal ui set at 160dpi.

    Installation

If CWM ask you to 'Disable Recovery Flash' after install, select no ! It will remove the files needed for the init.d support.

Please do not restore a 'system' data backup as it would overwritte some important files

    Easy Way

    • Use JROMFlasher (Click here) to wipe your data, flash custom recovery, upload my ROM

    Hard Way

    • Require Custom Recovery
    • Copy the ROM to the root of your SDCard (/sdcard).
      - You can copy/paste it from Windows Explorer.
      - You can download the ROM from your device. It will be generally located in /sdcard/downloads
      - You can use ADB : 'adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/' for Windows and Mac/Linux : './adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/'
    • Boot into Recovery
    • Wipe all cache and userdata
    • Flash the ROM from custom Recovery
