If the for some reason the CWM zip didn't work for you or the Keyboard doesn't appear in settings do this:

4. You can move one or both into /system/app folder with ES File Manager/root explorer/etc. (or adb)
5. Move lib/libXT9Engine into /system/lib

You can just add the files manually with a file explorer, change permissions.

What to do

1. Decompress the zip file.
2. Ignore the META-INF folder
3. In the app folder, you'll find textinput-chn.apk (Mandarin Chinese keyboard) and textinput-tng.apk (English keyboard).
4. You can move one or both into /system/app folder with ES File Manager/root explorer/etc. (or adb)
5. Move lib/libXT9Engine into /system/lib
6. Move usr/xt9 into /system/usr
7. Reboot. If you still don't see the keyboard in your settings, install the apk with your file manager which should work with the libraries installed.

This is what I did. If it didn't work, change your permissions accordingly.

If you like to reduce the size of the App :

    1. if you don't need chinese input then delete the /system/app/textinput-chn.apk from the zip

    2. Now lets deal with /system/usr/xt9/ delete all the dictionary files you don't need,
I use 3 languages polish, english, german so i keep only this files in the zip :
/system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-4_PLlsUN_xt9.ldb <-- PL stays for polish
    /system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-15_DEusUN_xt9_2.ldb <-- DE = german
    /system/usr/xt9/SEMC_810_r1-28_ENubUN_xt9_2.ldb <-- EN = english
all the other *.ldb files can be deleted

    Size reduction 19.5 Mib -> 2.8 Mib

can we get this as an apk?

Re: [APP][JAN/24/13] Xperia T/S Keyboard for ALL [Swipe][Multi-Lang][Stable][ICS][JB]

Okay. I only had time today to read the whole thread, sorry I wasn't able to look at this thread since I have had several personal matters *cough I am a nurse.

First of you need to be on ICS or JellyBean to use this keyboard. It is not possible to use this on GB or will be in the future.

For manual instal. Permission should be set to RWRR

On JellyBean update, Swype is now working everywhere yes including Google now, play and browser. To install of course choose the JB package and you must be in JB too.

I am considering to remove the chinese keyboard in the future since I virtually gave up on making it to work. All libs and files are included but still no success.

That is all. Thanks. Don't forget to hit thanks or visit my blog and please do click some of the ads on it. It will help me. :)

when manually installing (unzip, copy, ...) on my SGS3 it was crashing. To fix I needed to manually chmod the files:

    Code:
    su
    mount -o remount,rw /system
    cd /system/lib
    chmod 644 libXT9Engine.so
    cd /system/usr
    chmod 755 xt9
    cd xt9
    chmod 644 *

after that everything is working fine :)
