Now flashing 18.4 , can't live without flashing , stock rom is just not good enough.

I just want to thank you for this amazing rom!

I went from stock JB to ARHD 18.4 and the performance & stability is pretty much perfect. Especially the battery life is mind-blowing! At first I thought the battery indicator was stuck, but then I realized it wasn't. Before I managed to get only one day out of the battery with single charge, but now the battery last at least two days.

What I realised in this time ( in the previous cleaning I did not realise) , the small holes which are on the front and back of the Plastic Case were completely BLOCKED so I took a battery tooth brush and opened each hole one by one by inserting the tooth brush in the holes.

After cleaning each hole one by one, I can clearly say that my One X, volume is back to normal and it is laud as crazy, you can not imagine how much Volume gets blocked due to these blocked tiny holes.

To all of you having Low Volumes during a voice call and/or listening to a music or your ringtone, you will be amazed how much it will differ, If you just re-open each hole one by one.

Now that I my problem is over and I am back to flashing ARHD again, because after using the stock Rom for a few days , I realised how good Mike's ARHD roms are !!!!

I did this a couple of days ago as I really was struggling to hear anything, even with my finger in the other ear. After cleaning, I nearly burst my ear drum with the loudness of the volume. So much better having cleaned it. How it managed to degrade so much with just dirt I don't know but it really did

update to 8.4

I've never had an easier update then 8.4. Within 2 min ready and everything was exactly as it was (except the update offcourse).

Already on ARHD 18.4 after flashing out from stock Sense 4+. Battery drain has significantly worsened. Already wiped battery stats. I'm losing 1% per 2 minute of screen time on average. Followed the steps with regards to battery to check for the current and voltage. Earlier registered staggering values of 4k mV and 1k mHa. Just freshly discharging from my first 100% charge. Is this considered normal? Should I wait for another full charge cycle and drain it for now? How should I reflash if this is a case of bad flash?

Well first of all, you should download betterbatterystats app (its free here on xda) and check what wakelocks you have.

Sounds like some app is seriously draining your battery,

My device was overheating and had the green and red flickering lights but that was cause I was streaming content to my phone and then wirelessly streaming it to my TV, may have been a bit much for it

I flashed 18.4 yesterday very fast no issues at all.

I came from ARHD 17.1 and my CID is VODAP102

Here is my story so far

Installed ARHD 18.4
Installed lyapota_modPack_3.14.401.31_Ver_4_0 : Applied the camera, USB Mass storage fixes.
Installed NCX kernel : Stock_NCX17d_Kernels.7z (repacked for ARHD, found on the forum somewhere).
Restored : Subway surfer using titanium, restore app first, then data. Data came fine.
Used SMS Backup and Restore to backup the sms as xml and then restored them back. This went very smooth, in past I had problems with using titanium backup for restore.

So far, the performance of games is best I have seen for some time now, I managed to do some personal best scores (no lags, freezes). Is this the ROM or the kernel ?

The battery performance is decent, same I was getting with ICJ, will wait for the thing to settle a bit first, and then gauge again. Installed Better Battery stats for it. GPS fixing getting obtained in good time (max a minute or so).

Yeah, I've also got terrible battery life. After using my phone for 30 minutes to read on my way to work my battery is down to 90%.
