Bugs..

Great Rom! Almost ready for everyday use. External SD is scanned by all apps, even stock gallery.
Ofc there are still a few Bugs.
My Version is Beta 10 ofc.

1.Settings-> About Phone -> System Updates
-- Causes Crash, naturally doesn't work, but a crash should not happen!

2.Settings-> Storage
-- Internal and External SD are not displayed correctly. (User available part of internal SD shows as "%S OVER SPECIFIED LIMIT" and External shows as "WI-FI DATA LIMIT EXCEEDED"

3. Face Unlock does not seem to be working correctly.. tried it quite some time, capturing seems to work, but it "can't find a face" when i try to use it.

4. Can't get any GPS Location. The Sky is clear and i am outside... nothing... :/

5. Setting the Lockscreen Wallpaper in Themes does not show the Option to select a specific area of wallpaper.

(Voodoo Control does not show Screen Tuning anymore, Voodoo Color not working ? Galaxy S options is working though)

I can but it takes so much time to lock satellites and you have to be in open air with no buildings left and right, so it's pretty much useless.

Voodoo colour is kernel related.

I confirm all the other you wrote :)

Ad 3)Face unlock works great at my phone.. But i dont use it, just for showing friends (tried it now).

It would be great, if you can "lock"-apps like in MIUI@GB... Dont need unlock-things everytime, but just for some apps..

Ad 2) No error/wrong strings at my phone (i have german language pack)

Ad 4) GPS is working fine or lets say it: it is bad as ever :D

Ad 5) Yeah.. I want my scrollable wallpaper back ;(

My GPS is working great, it was terrible in all froyo and GB roms, but on almost every ICS satellite locks happens in under 15 seconds, also on this ROM.
Can confirm other bugs.

4. Flash a different modem, not ROM related.

Voodoo Control is kernel related, the kernel you are using isn't supporting voodoo color, hence why it's missing from the app.

Anyone else having issues with Navigation? I can can get my location on Maps, but Navigation keeps searching for a GPS signal...

May have to go back to stock GingerBread ROM if I cant get this working. :(

I had a few problems with GPS not getting a fix. I have installed FasterFix since two days and I've had no problems since, but it's too short a time to tell.
You could try it though. It changes your region server (asia, europe. etc)

I install beta 10, it's excellent for me,
but I meet some problem with tethering Wi-Fi hotspot, I turn on Wi-Fi hotspot on,
but other wifi device can't get dhcp ip address,
I also try OPEN,WPA,WPA2, the situation is the same,

anyone has the same problem?

    INTRODUCTION- this rom is based on nexus s releases of MIUIv4 and cm9 releases for sgs ,we will move our base to miuiv4 official as soon as it is released(that may never happen though but still we won't stop). The main aim for this rom will be to provide good battery life, stability and smoothness to its users. If someone doesn't knows what miui is then open en.miui.com. in brief, miui is one of the most famous custom roms out there in the wild for android. It is an AOSP rom and is highly customizable and provides better experience than Samsung based roms. miui officially releases a rom update every Friday so u can always expect an update between Sunday Tuesday from us.

    Flashing instructions (FOLLOW THESE IF U R ON ANY OTHER ROM)-

    *you can flash this rom from any gingerbread/ics rom you are on .

    *download rom.

    *optionally backup your data using titanium backup/ my backup root and make a nandroid backup, just in case. ;)

    *Wipe data/factory reset.


    *install zip from SD card -- choose zip from SD card -- install from where you have stored it.

    *install again to make sure you don't loose cwm.


    * reboot and let the rom settle for 5 minutes then complete Google setup, after that let the rom settle for another 5-10 minutes. Then use your device.


    *please charge to 100% after first boot for perfect battery results.

    Flashing instructions from any previous beta.

    *download rom

    *wipe data-- recommended, not necessary.

    *install rom.

    *install again to make sure u don't loose cwm .

    *reboot.

    *let it settle for 5-10 minutes.

    *recommended- after installing rom charge to 100%. Download NStools app from android market to tweak kernel settings.NStools isn't found in games section of market that means it isn't a game so don't play with it, use it sensitively.

    Known bugs:

    *status bar has graphical glitches as per base.

    *when we deactivate airplane mode incoming calls start working from next second.....that means that ril is fine and doesn't takes time after first boot....but outgoing calls won't work till the statusbar will show signals....and showing signals take 30 odd seconds as per graphical glitches.

    *market is a bit laggy like in beta 4 and 5(miui framework bug, I assume so )

    *dialer takes time on some keys cause of t9 search of contacts ( not a big problem) .

    *messaging app is fine.....u just can't send or receive empty messages(lols).

    *notes app is Chinese....not a bug really...just wait miui China for proper translation.

    *in settings app there are one or two small options that are in Chinese.

    *vertical scrolling in gtalk app is a bit laggy(framework related).

    *these are known bugs yet...more will be added as we find them.

    * if message app FCs even after the solution in first post, then go to cwm recovery and clear dalvik cache and fix permissions. Then reboot.

    FAQs-


    Q- how can I enable bln/ ?
    A-its already working. No need to do anything.

    Q- is the rom multi language ?
    A-We want to add more languages, if u can help us with ur language then pls pm me or rtpfessoa.


    Q-can I install the rom without wiping?
    A- for the first time I recommend wiping for bug free use, after u install the rom once u can update to any new version without wiping.

    Q-where can i find external SD ?
    A-external SD card is in 'emmc' folder in the root of the Device. Use any root browsing app to access external SD card.
