The land of no-iPhones
If you missed it, team b has solved the hw decoding problemand apparently will be releasing it soon along with an OCing kernel. Just wondering if because youre another ROM maker they would let you start working on integrating those now even before their public release. Im just really enjoying MIUI and i cant wait for the hw accel and OCing.
Thanks for all you do!

I got it all up and running with the new kernel. But I'd respect Celtic's wish and only post the update when he's ok with it :)

I can understand CWS's desire to keep a handle on the Team-B build (bug fixes and whatnot), however, once the OK is given, I bet they will be pleased to see what becomes of their baby :cool:

I love MIUI. I first had it on my NC and was too happy to see your work. I don't know how to make mine as cool as Veronica's though :eek:. Still, it is great. Thanks!

I'm hoping he does bc im still stuck on this ics port waiting on someone to get back to me? But if he doesn't I will port over a newer version of gb miui if he's cool with it

MIUI is actually very different from CM7 and I'm using succulent's kernel so is actually not restricted anymore. It's just that I'm still unable to get hd youtube and hw playback working :(

yes the dpi does the trick

Stock Launcher Icons and Status Bar look much better now (but very big) :)

Use RootExplorer to edit the /system/build.prop as follows:

remove the following lines:

ro.sf.lcd_density.xdpi=169.33333
ro.sf.lcd_density.ydpi=169.33333

add this line:

qemu.sf.lcd_density=240

save and set permission to 644 (all read, top write)

Edit: you need also to replace the keyboard file or it appears super big. here is the LatinIME.apk taken from Nook Color rom. Copy it to /system/app folder and set permission to 644

then reboot
All worked great thanx

Alpha 2 released :)

Change Log:
1. Use Succulent's CM7 kernel
2. Use miuiandroid's Miui Rom 2.3.30 for N1
3. Use Stock wifi modules and vendor files
4. Include Andy Thomson's Extended Settings Mod - http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/mod-extended-settings-menu-options.7738/
5. Minor fixes

The changes are quite major, so a factory reset is required (sorry)

HW Video decoding / HD Youtube is still not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So does all other hw accel work (games) or is it the same as the first alpha? If there's hw accel in games I'll try it out again.

Sent from my CM9 Alpha 0.02 Nook Tablet

I don't play games so I'm not very sure. But the kernel do support hw acceleration (on my dxrom using the same kernel everything is working). I think it's some miui libs that cause the hw video playback not working ...

how can I disable boot sound?
Thank you.. (2.3.30c)

remove / rename the file bootaudio.mp3 in /system/media folder.

    Going to try this soon just wondering one thing does changing dpi fix icon sizes and/or does zeam launcher have an option to disable app drawer so its similar to miui launcher?

    I have not tried various dpi yet.

    I don't think you can disable app drawer in Zeam. But if you drag everything out or set app drawer background to transparent then it's quite similar to miui launcher.

    Wiped and installed it twice to be sure. I don't even get to a boot animation.

    It just dies.

    Try factory reset + clear dalvik cache after install. First boot may take a while

    It's looking good so far. status bar is across the top too. Looks like it's a bit short on the left hand side cos there's a little square black box there right now. Will install screenshot app to take pic

    Thanks, for a while I thought my zip is bad from previous post.

    I notice the status bar issue too. May need to experiment with different dpi and see.
