Dynamic F-Sync
This is a goodie by faux123, so all credits go to him for creating this unique feature !

Many kernels just disable synchronous writes to file to speed up system. While this works neatly, it is also dangerous as processes believe that file writes are actually synced to disk (or mmc media in our case) while this is not yet true ! The gain is a noticeably smoother user experience, but the risk of doing so is to have a corrupted filesystem if the device crashes, user pulls battery, battery fully depletes ... so that the device is turned off unexpectedly. To allow for the benefit, but to minimize the risk, faux123 created dynamic fsync, which while the screen is on, will defer file sync temporarily, but when screen gets turned off, a flush is called to synchronize all outstanding writes keeping your data safe.

SLIMBus OverClocked
This means SLIMbus will use its maximum potential to give the best audio quality for the hardware. Takes advantage of both hardware and the mods from zeroinfinity, also opening the door for more things that were previously limited by this. Researched and experimented by ZeroInfinity and Poondog

Flashed the 3rd beta version and have a strange issue when hitting the home key - instead of taking me to my launcher home (Apex), it brings up the list of recent apps. And I'm not pressing down on the home key that long - just the regular press seems to cause it to happen.

pretty good so far, didn't notice anything to serious just that:

Proximity sensor lights up when on lockscreen until you turn screen off. Stays on when screen turns itself off on lock screen.

sound from ear speaker lags for a sec when ending call.

the notification drop down would lag when there's a lot of notifications.

lockscreen wallpaper turns black when u disable see through option until I reboot. Might also be a bug, but is blur lockscreen suppose to be the same like in PA? It doesn't look it it.

Status bar would sometimes flicker black transitioning from translucent when entering an app.

Also, this just occurred to me once, downloading and installing apps stalled until I reboot.

And lastly, the loading circle spins crazily.

The Kitkat version is still on beta. It doesnt yet have the features I miss from 2.37 such as changing the color of status bar, battery bar, power widget in notification w/ brightness control, the iOS emoji, and a few others.

Some things I dislike about kitkat:
Those orange accents for data and wifi when connecting Google services.

The phone and contacts app: all the white hurts my eyes..

Some things I dislike about liquidsmooth:
The bootanimation: a simpler one needs to be made..

You need to disable charging animation, it is disabled by default for now.

Proximity sensor is on because pocket mode is on for lockscreen notifications.
Loading circle issue is a old bug still looking into it
power widget in notification w/ brightness control will never return we will be adding cm's implemtation of it
Orange Accents our a kitkat thing we wont be messing with it
Phone and contacts you can enable trds (Dark Liquid) and they will be dark
If you do not like the boot animation flash a different one

I will look into the notification drop down lag and the lockscreen wallpaper going away.

I had done a dirty flag of this rom over last Gummy nightly and the only issue I had was Bluetooth connectivity, it would not stay connected.

So I made wiped, wiped, wiped and wiped some more, installed rom and gaps again. Without installing anything else first thing I did was test Bluetooth again and it will not stay connected. Other than that everything was working great for me. Thanks

I'm using TWRP v2.6.3.1, but I must say Bluetooth has a been a little weird in all 4.4.x rooms I have tried but for some reason this version it will not stay connected. It will connect for a few seconds and then disconnect. I have to reboot the phone for it to even connect for a few seconds. I even tried installing another kernel since I listen to music throughout the day through my Bluetooth

Anyone try the 3/24 build with the new Deathly kernel? Was trying to wait before I jumped in but nobody's talking about it, ha.

I've been on 3/24 with the deathly kernel for about 16 hours now. So far so good, no reboots and everything seems to be working.
    3
Same... Running 2/28 nightly and taking a front facing pic in Instagram caused a freeze, then reboot. :-\

Front facing pic in Camera app seems to work fine.

Good to know. I have 2/28 on my sd. Will probably flash it tonight.

Btw, for anyone reading this and thinking of flashing the 2/28 build, the devs said to do a clean install coming from any previous builds.
