LOL - thought the same thing, I was using the S version - and then reflashed to 1.0.0 straight up - problem solved.

Well I was looking around and found that WIFI is what seems to break deep idle. I did not discover this I read it on the inter web so props to the original founder.
Turning deep idle one with wifi enabled will cause sod and you will need to reboot the phone to get it back.
Turn off wifi and enable deep idle and the phone will wake as normal.
I have tried it and so far it is working. I also did a fix permissions from CWM so might want to do that too.
Testing continues I will see in the morning if my phone turns on
